“great location and value”
Reviewed 20 November 2012

Hotel is situated 25 meters from the main square and there are many bars and restaurants within walking distance, Could not be better situated for the sights and nightlife of Valladolid yet its not noisy at all ! Rooms are cleaned daily and are reasonable size and comfortable. Only ate breakfast once in the hotel and it was standard continental fare but adequate enough. The Manager is the only person who speaks English but is more than helpful with his maps and recommendations. All in all great value for money and would happily stay again if visiting Valladolid.

I have stayed at Zenit on 3 separate occasions and am continually surprised at the great value of this hotel. The rooms are big, fairly modern, really comfortable and clean. The entrance feels like a grand hotel but the price is like a budget hotel. In terms of location you couldn't be nearer to the centre as it is in the road parallel behind Plaza Mayor. The manager Roberto was extremely helpful and talked us through all the relevant sites and places to eat and drink in Valladolid.

We stayed for one night in early July while travelling further south. The welcome was really warm with the Manager speaking excellent English. The rooms were more traditional, old style Spanish but all the better for that. This building has so much character. The rooms are a reasonable size for centre of city and very clean and comfortable. There are antique artifacts around which enhance the experience of this hotel and the grand staircase and bar are lovely. Although at the heart of the city, there was little noise and we were not disturbed.
It is situated seconds away from some great tapas bars and the centre Plaza which is beautiful, especially at night when everything is lit up. We were given a map and recommendations on the tapas bars, all of which were superb. This is a lively, bustling Spanish city and we would love to have spent more time here.

Really good hotel, very close to the square. Car parking was easy it was under the square. It was then a two minute walk to the hotel. Great location. Very friendly hotel reception, couldn't do enough for us. Bedroom very well appointed and with a small balcony overlooking a pedestrian street.
Good breakfast. All fantastic value for money. A very enjoyable town and hotel.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

We found this online and booked a last-minute getaway for two days. As many have stated, the rooms are comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The main lobby may appear a little dated for some but we found it charming. The only complaint was minor: given that it is right next to the Plaza Mayor (you could not ask for a more centrally located hotel), it could be a little noisy late at night as people left the bars.

We booked for an overnight stop and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel may be a little dated but it is very nice, clean and comfortable.
Located right in the centre there are plenty of bars and restaurants around, we did not use the hotel for dinner but continental breakfast was excellent.
We were concerned about noise as the surrounding area was very lively, but once the shutters were drawn it was quiet in the room. Air con kept us cool.
We would consider a longer stay to have another look at the town and surrounding area.
The receptionist was very helpful with a problem we had with the car.

We were greeted by Roberto, who took great care in providing a map, and information of all the historical and significant places, restaurants and bars nearby. His english was very good. He also made excellent recommendations for the local food and wine. Location is excellent, and right next to many excellent tapas bars, walking or 5 Euro cab ride to train station. Most impressive was the fact the desk clerk prepared coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and a pastry at 6:30 am, 1 hour before the restaurant opened, so that we could eat before our early train. The room was comfortable, with 2 large opening widows, and a nice view of the street. The building is actually a restored palace, and the lobby has beautiful columns and staircase.
