I stayed at Barcelona Princess for two nights and I was extremely happy. This is a modern, very new hotel which exceeded my expectations. It's midrange to a little more expensive than the average hotel, but it makes up for that with excellent value. It feels like a 5 star. Staff is very nice, welcoming and will help with everything. The decor of the hotel is amazing and the views are awesome. There is a lobby bar, which is a great place for an evening drink. The pool and gym area is nice (though there's not much in the gym, it gets the job done). Breakfast is an option, though expensive.

Steps away from the Fórum convention centre and also the Diagonal Mar Mall. The closest subway stop is El Maresme. In terms of the location: this could be a good thing depending on what you're in to. Princess is located in the new part of Barcelona and it is a more spread out, modern area. If you're the kind of person who likes a quiet, safe area away from the action for sleeping, then this is the place for you. If, however, you want to be right in the heart of the city with the urban bustle, then I wouldn't stay here. That said, cabs were easily accessible as was the yellow line subway.

The rooms were a good size and cozy. The minibar was free (a nice surprise) with an excellent wireless connection and comfortable beds. I'm not sure if this is a spanish thing, but I've seen the same thing over and over with the shower and toilet essentially just being a glassed off area in a corner rather than a separate room. People who are a little more shy (if traveling with someone else) may have minor trouble with this.

I had two minor problems with the room.
1. The shower really smelled mouldy when I got to the room. I called and within MINUTES the staff were up and cleaned it and this was no longer an issue. EXCELLENT SERVICE

2. When you shower, the door doesn't close completely (either does the toilet door for that matter) so water ended up seeping across the floor next to and outside the shower.

Otherwise an excellent value hotel that I really enjoyed staying in and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The unique location of this hotel makes all the views amazing—just maybe ask for a room on a higher...

Modern design hotel, very cool look with a rooftop lounge designed by Desigual. Two small pools and a very small gym that was not adequate for my husband's needs. There are several cardio machines but not enough equipment for weight lifting. The rooftop pool is long and narrow so well suited for swimming laps. Gorgeous sea views.
The room itself was also great, not very big but it came with a huge bed, black out curtains, adequate closet space, 2 robes and room slippers. No coffee maker nor iron and ironing board provided in the room so we had to use the hotel's laundry service to get my husband's business attire pressed at over €7 each! A free minibar with 2 bottles of water, a lemonade type drink, and a beer and a soda, replenished daily. The views were fantastic; we had the city view which I preferred so I could look over Barcelona everyday, but I'm sure the sea views would be wonderful as well. Electronic shades for the large window, including a black out option, as well as one for the bathroom so you could have privacy or keep it open and look out at the view as you brush your teeth. Separate cabin for the toilet. Good to have read in previous reviews that the drainage is not the best and not to keep the water in the shower going full blast or it would flow out of the shower. But the 3 options of handheld, body jets, or waterfall made up for it. Breakfast was also great; a full buffet with tons of options. The hotel location was good, even if it was a bit outside the city center the metro stop was quite close and a quick ride to any sites of interest. Otherwise a short walk to the beach, or to the mall right next door with lots of shopping and dining options. A quiet stay despite a huge conference going on across the street. Very comfortable bed too!

Fantastic hotel, great facilities ! It's right across from the congress centre and beside an excellent shopping centre. I would definitely recommend it if your staying for a congress. It's only 12 euro taxi to las ramblas and there is a lovely waterside walk into the city centre if your feeling energetic. I stayed for 5 days and had a really pleasant stay in a corner room with a balcony - worth asking for !

stayed for my daughters birthday and everything was perfect. given beautiful room on 23rd floor and on 1st night came back to find bottle of fizz and cake waiting for us - very nice touch. Room very quiet with fabulous sea view. we both preferred staying bit out of town and metro so easy to use to see all attractions. would highly recommend booking and hope to visit again

Great stay for a conference of a couple of days. Had the chance to come at the time of the Catalan yearly Fun Fair just across along the beach but no noise disturbance. Difficult at times to get an answer straight away on the phone but very good follow up of bookings via email and customer care second to none.
Lovely chic sleek rooms with pretty bathrooms and quiet air conditioning set at 21C, little balcony, very useful reliable Wifi, TV a bit tricky to get working at first. Fantastic choice at buffet breakfast, Fantastic views from bridge platforms at each floor as well as the amazing window lifts. Two outdoor pools & his/hers saunas which I did not get the chance to try but looking very enjoyable by other guests and two very inviting bars, with the top one on 23rd floor quite spectacular overlooking the city. Delicious cocktails but avoid the rush and wait around midnight. Will go for happy hour next time.
For evening return flights, only offers late room departure at cost: Half price of the room until 6pm or full price of room thereafter which is a bit dear so had to make do with leaving my suitcase at reception-luggage room after breakfast then changing in the handicapped toilets around 7pm before a dash to the airport. Best to get a taxi from outside waiting rank across the avenue as it is cheaper by at least 10 Euros; count around 35-40 Euros per airport transfer.
The main complaint would be the long wait at the lifts which is difficult to understand as there are 3 lifts available but I only saw 2, the very right hand side and the middles ones working.
All in all very nice business/ leisure base in this great city but a bit far from the centre so ideal for a twin centres stay or to finish a holiday nearer the sea and with spa facilities. Would definitively consider staying again (but without a wheelchair this time) and if garanteed a decent sea view from my next room.

Room Tip: They have rooms for wheelchairs people on the 9th floor for recently leg-injured guests but the bath...

I stayed with my daughter at this hotel, we were on the 13th fl which had great views! I am sure they would have been spectacular had we paid to go higher. It is not centrally located but the metro is just across the road. I wouldn't class this as a tourist hotel it is very business like and more at the business end of Barcelona. Not much tourist information on hand. There is a huge shopping centre with restaurants and bars just down the street if you don't fancy trekking out to town. All in all a good stay but maybe more central next time.

Hotel located at the coastal end of Av. Diagonal, meaning public transport or a cab to get to the city centre.
The decor is very modern and attractive. Free wifi with sufficient bandwidth. The special architecture with 24 floors and three elevators mean serious lift waiting time. Staying at 5th floor, I took the stairs, but if you have a choice, the west view from the top floors is stunning.
Two bars, one small at 23rd floor, one larger in the lobby. Lots of cocktails for a reasonable price, do give it a try!
Noise insulation between rooms and hallway is poor. Also, be aware that rooms on 23rd floor will be affected by bar noise.
Breakfast is varied, with many hot courses.

Room Tip: Ask for a room above 12th floor, avoiding the 23rd if you are a light sleeper.
