“Black Mold in Bathroom made me Sick”
Reviewed 1 August 2011

The location was ok but being on the ground floor was very noisy even into the early morning hours. The big problem for us was the dampness everywhere in the building, especially in the bathroom. The shower and curtain were covered in a smelly black mold that started to make me sick after the 2nd day. We left this morning and are now home and my symptoms have intensified--cold and allergy meds have not helped. I'm going to seek treatment for black mold toxins if it continues to worsen in the next couple days.
Red rash, runny nose, itchy eyes and sore throat. Do NOT stay in this apartment!

We had to pick up our keys at a hotel because we were checking in after hours. It's around 1am, my husband and I, with all our luggage, get to the apartment only to find the keys don't work. By luck another resident was just coming in and let us in, but the keys to our apartment didn't work either. After several expensive phone calls from my US phone, we discovered that the hotel clerk didn't mention that we had been moved to another apartment in another part of town.

Fortunately, the apartment we were moved to was beautiful, high ceilings, lots of closet space, great big well-equipped kitchen. Very clean. The area was safe. Location was great, right on Passeig Colom. It was 10 min to the nearest subway, but we were walking distance to borne and gothic quarter. Great restaurants and lots of grocery and fresh veggies nearby. The pool on the roof is tiny, but a fun place to hang out if you have time.

Hopefully you won't need to talk to the med-aparts people because they're not very accommodating. They weren't that concerned about sending us to the wrong apartment and they wouldn't let us check out 2 hours late on our last day. I get the feeling from other reviews that a lot of the apartment people in Spain do this, change apartments at the last minute, so whatever company you're going with, the day you get there, make sure you double check!

I stayed at the Gothic Quarter location with my family (4 total) for two nights prior to our med cruise. This is located on a safe and quiet street a couple blocks from the cathedral and in the center of the quarter. Check in was easy and it was quiet during our stay. We were only there to sleep, so we were just looking for a clean safe and quiet place to stay with a great location and this was it. The only word of caution is that the photo on Trip Advisor shows the apartment looking brand new. There is a white couch in the room that looks very used and stained and my iPad is close to the size of the tv, but I didn't sit on the couch or watch tv, so didn't bother me much.

We stayed in the Barcelona for two nights – 2 couples.
The apartment is located very close to Ramblas – main street in Barcelona. It is close to metro station – Liceu. Location is perfect.
The apartment is equipped in everything – electric cattle, toaster, microwave, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, etc. The apartment looks really luxurious. There is one separate bedroom but two people can sleep in the living room – bed is very comfortable. On the roof there is a small swimming pool. It creates incredible climate. You can sit there putting legs into swimming pool and admire Barcelona landscape.
I totally recommend this apartment.

We stayed in barcelona just for two nights, 3 adults and 3 kids. We stayed at the third floor of this block of apartments, The place is just like the photos on their website, brand new, clean and very elegant. The location is perfect, in the city center, few steps from piaza catalunya. Definetely an excellent value of money and not only !!! The only negative thing I can think of, could be the noise from the water pipes of the apartment next to ours. In any case I would definetely go there again.

these apartments are ideally located in a quiet street of barceloneta (between the marina and the beach), 5 minutes walk away from the beach and about 10-15 minutes tops to Plaza Catalunya 'barcelona centre point' the flats are in good condition, quite modern, there are convenience shops and a supermarket close by, the staff is nice, no trouble at all. Well it made our trip a lot more fun and easy basically so I definitely recommend it to anyone!

We stayed at the C/ Duran i Bas apartments near the Placa Catalunya which are exellent value when compared to local hotels. The apartments are newly built and decorated in a modern 'design hotel' style. Our apartment had an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with good quality furniture and appliances. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and stylish with good quality fittings. The staff are friendly and helpful and the apartments are well located for the centre of town. The beach is a 10 minute bus ride away. The only downside is, as this is an apartment, you have to pay extra if you want it cleaned during your stay.
