Comfortable beds but doors banging, bells ringing, people shouting made for no sleep for our 2 night stay. Location great, straight off airport bus and less than 2 minute walk and a 2 minute walk to La Rambla :-)

Barcelona has loads of turists....it's like they can' t be bothered to make you feel at home, they don't realise what would happen if tourists would stop pouring in.
This hostal, it more of a hostel than a hotel, is very well placed...meters from plazza Catalunya and upper part of Las Ramblas, people at the reception were polite and quite helpful when we needed extra help. The rooms need a refurbish tough, they are terrible, the owner need to invest to keep it's bussines. Sorry to have to do this ....for the staff....but have a look at the pictures....my advice...sacrifice a bit more money and chose something better.

Would not recommend after staying for 5 days. The rooms are very small, particularly the bathroom where you can hardly squeeze in. Walls are thin and noise can be a problem. The floors and walls were old and dusty. There are much better 2 star hotels in barcelona city centre for a cheaper price (from personal experience).
After staying here for 5 days, we moved to ANK (a hotel 2 blocks away costing the same price with breakfast included), where the conditions were amazing in comparison.
If you are desperate for a cheap room in barcelona and are having trouble, then I would recommend even considering Air BNB as a better alternative.
