Pretty good hotel, though the rooms are on the smaller size. We did get a weird toilet smell in one of our rooms one night. Convenient location near the cathedral and port. Nice staff. Breakfast is in the basement, and only so-so.

Stayed for five nights at this hotel at the start of May . Great choice. Close to everything inc the beach. The room, while small and somewhat dark, had a really comfortable bed, good atmospheric lighting, great shower and great silent air con. Our room overlooked a little courtyard, and so was very quiet, with no road noise at all . The front of house staff were very nice and friendly. We arrived several hours before the allotted check in time, but received such a warm welcome , and our room was available immediately .
Barcelona is not a cheap city, but this hotel was very good value we felt, and if we were going back to the city, we would defiantly stay here.

after spending the week before in a three star hotel on las ramblas with mates on a drinking break i returned to barcelona a few days later with family on a sightseeing visit. there was very little difference in the two hotels and the breakfast was probably the poorest i have encountered across most of europe. it didnt satisfy the needs of any of our group resulting in us having to adjust our day to eat whilst out. the bar in the hotel didnt do anything to encourage a drink to round off a day around this lovely city. however the limitations of the hotel were counter-balanced by the hotel staff especially on the reception who were ever obliging and would put themselves out to sort out any requests, including organising our tickets to visit the sagrada familiar, i would stay in this hotel again because the location was excellent but wouldnt recommend that anybody included breakfast in their booking

Room Tip: need to have a room higher up because metro underground does make lower floors rattle

After reading other trip advisor reviews it was with great trepidation that myself and husband set off on our first trip to Barcelona. We encountered there extremely friendly staff, a nice room on the 6th floor complete with modern bathroom and balcony. The continental breakfast was much the same as we have had in many European countries and the location in the gothic quarter was superb. Close by were Barcelona Cathedral, the Picasso Museum and La Rambla as well as the beaches and harbour of Barcelona. I did wonder if I was staying at the same hotel as the other reviewers. I have to agree that tea and coffee should be available as standard in this day and age but we solved the problem as we have done in the past with a travel kettle. The rumble of the metro was a little irritating but not the fault of the hotel. The room was cleaned daily to a very high standard and a maintenance check was carried out by a very polite staff member even though we had not complained about anything being wrong. The reception staff were great when we had a problem with the taxi company we had booked and solved the matter quickly and efficiently. A very happy stay was had by both of us.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 6th floor so the rumble of the metro was not too bad. Traffic noise we did not not...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. it was ok but not as good as we expected having stayed in other 4 star hotels in Barcelona before. I askd fot a quiet room which we got at the back of the hotel, no view but it was very quiet. Small room but ok and bathroom very modern. The reception staff and bell boy were fantastic they couldnt do enough for you, but the breakfast was very poor, bread not very fresh and very basic otherwise and the waitress was a bit rude and rushing us.

Room Tip: If you want quiet room with no view ask for it but the rooms on the front will have a better outlook...

A 3 night stay in Barcelona was made ever more impressive by this hotel. Located off one of Barcelona's busier main roads, road noise for some might prove a little too much. However, for someone who was unconcerned by this as I was, the hotel will not fail to satisfy your every need. The double room I had located on the front part of the hotel overlooking the road was spacious and clean. Catching the eye in particular was the impressive shower with a mosaic stone effect flooring. A 3 minute walk away from the shipping port, 5 (or so) minutes from the Las Ramblas and 1 minute from El Born with plenty of bars and restaurants, you couldn't wish for a better city break location.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the hotel overlook the road which is good for people watching, otherwise a vie...

Location is great, six minutes walk from heart of Gotic Quarter. Four minutes from metro.
On the other side of the street el Born with huge amount of bars, tapas - two minutes walk.
The hotel seem to be new. The rooms are very clean with modern design. I recommend to take the top floor due to metro line that near the hotel.
Breakfast is not diverse for this hotel level but it enough .

Room Tip: Top floor, at the back - very quite room
