Location is probably the only thing about this hotel worth mentioning. The rooms are small, and can get quite hot and stuffy during the summer. No elevator at all, so expect an uncomfortable walk up many flights of quickly-turning stairs. Staff are friendly, and the convenient location is close to the main street and is walkable to the rest of Barcelona. The free wifi is great. Not a bad place to stay if you're with friends or on a budget; but if you're willing to spend a bit more money, you can find better places if you're heading here with your spouse.

My girlfriend and I just spent a week at Pension Norma. You really do get a lot for your money, Clean, comfortable rooms in a great location. If you're feeling energetic then large parts of the city are within walking distance (including many of the big tourist attractions ) If not, then the Metro station is only a few minutes away. Our room had a comfortable double bed, cleaned daily and the hotel was generally quiet.

The main difficulties however are the shared bathroom, and that the guesthouse is located up a few flights of stairs (not nice if you have lots of luggage!)

If you visit Pension Norma in August make sure you keep an eye out for La Fiesta De Gracia. It's in the perfect location to enjoy the amazing festival!

I spent in Barcelona 5 days and all I can say it was a very cosy place to stay in. The rooms are very clean and rooms, though very basic, are perfect for a short stay. A plus is a basin located in each room. Sometimes, you might experience queuing to the bathroom, but considering the low price, I think you should not expect too much. I was alaso alloed to use the bathroom after my check-out time in the afternoon, which was nice. The neighbourhood is really cosy and quiet comapring to other parts of the city. The "Fontana" metro stop is just 400 meters away. To Barcenolleta is 5 km on foot which is bearable. I recommend this hotel to people who like doing sightseeing, not staying at the hotel.

Room Tip: Some room have window overlooking a street, some have just rooms overlooking a narrow corridor in old-style houses so or you want to have a lot of sunshine or noise coming from the street traffic.

We surely paid really low price comparing to other places in Barcelona, but we didn't expect its gonna be this poor. Please note one more time that its is 5th floor and you gonna get your luggage up with no elevator. They mentioned no elevator in the describtions but it didn't say its gonna be this high to climb. Rooms are quite clean with a sink, toilet and shower on the floor as usually in hotels. Prison small windows if you lucky to have one. I wouldn't advice stayin here for more than one or two nights: better pay same price for 3 star hotel outside the city and take a train to see the sights...

Room Tip: Ask for separate room with toilet and shower included. But its gonna be more expencive than the hostel price.
