When you choose Novotel, you are expecting a certain standard. This Hotel has that standard, but there are some flaws.

The rooms, beds and stuff like that are ok and are fully living up to the general Novotel standard.

Unfortunately the breakfast does not live up to that standard. The food is again, ok, but there are flaws, the biggest one beeing that they are not cleaning the room while the breakfast is ongoing. This is a very big hotel, so there are quite a few guests. When you are sitting and trying to enjoy your breakfast you will also be in 'company' of the last guest at your table as floor is filled with breadcrumb and other leftovers from the previous guests. We have stayed at several Novotel hotels, but never with this lack of standard on the breakfast.

There is also a fitness room, but this room is to say it mildly, sparsely equipped. However if you like running on machines, they have 3 of them.

There is a swimming pool on the topfloor, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Barcelona. But at our stay the pool was freezing cold, so we did not use it. You will get towels from the lifeguard.

There is free wifi, but when we stayed it was somewhat unstable and most of our devices where regularely thrown of the net.

But otherwise a good hotel. It is placed jus a few meters from the Glories mall and the Glories metro station.

I stayed here one night before commencing a tour, then again for a further 4 nights afterwards. I was slightly disappointed that my longer stay was in a room with a very lumpy and noisy bed.

Other than this the rooms were excellent, and clean. the bathrooms very spacious, however the wifi didnt work very well at all in either of my rooms on both my laptop and phone. The lobby was ok though.

The staff were very nice and helpful with any questions. Public transport and taxi's are right at your door, along with a shopping mall across the road. The food was excellent, and I found all of the wait staff to be very pleasant.

Pool and gym were good, yet small. You need to get in early to get a place to sit, or the treadmill! I would definitely return to this hotel when i next return to barcelona

Not only a great hotel to stay, but also perfect to get around in Barcelona because of the vicinity of a tram-stop that takes you directly to the beach and subway station Glories on line 1 that easily brings you where ever you want to be in the city. Besides the Torre Agbar (great view at night!), there is also the Glories Mall that offers lots of shopping and dining facilities right outside of your hotel doorstep. Novotel also offers a wifi system that can be used all over the city. Both my grandsons and I loved it! And don't forget to visit the rooftop bar and swimmingpool (on the 19th floor). It offers an amazing view over Barcelona while you can take a refreshing swim.

Room Tip: If they offer you a suite for some extra money, take the deal! It is worth it!

This hotel is fab for families. The hotel has x-box, games and books for the kids. The rooftop pool area is lovely with great views only downside is the pool is freezing. Hotel nice and clean, breakfast is excellent. Reception staff could be more welcoming, didn't find them rude just not that happy! It's in an excellent spot to travel everywhere by underground or tram. Buy a T10 tickets for €10 for 10 journeys which can be used on the team and underground. Recommend the bus tours to get a feel for the city, also magic fountains is great too. La Ramblas great at night and lovely restaurants in a square just off it with fountain and entertainers. Will be back!

Room Tip: High up for views

The rooms have great views of the city and if your lucky, you get to look out at the Torre Agbar building. Great breakfast with tasty items to make everyone happy. The pool, bar and snacks on the 19th floor are amazing. Location worked very for our long weekend. Enjoy!

This hotel provided everything we needed for a great family break in the city. Lovely rooftop pool and bar to cool off in after a days sightseeing, good amenities in the lobby for kids, x box, apple computers etc. The lobby always smelled lovely and fresh. staff were helpful but not intrusive. We accidentally booked twice for the Parc Guell and the receptionist phoned the park directly to help us organise a refund.
Ideal location just on fringe of busy city which we didn't want to be in centre of, good transport links and very easy to get to on the train from the airport. The Poblenou area is very trendy and arty with a safe feel to it at night. The Poblenou ramblas was 10 minutes away for eating out at night too. Exceptional.

Room Tip: High floor for the views of the city and Agbar Tower.
