Description: Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark for the dissemination of wine culture. A pioneering space, created by Sergi Ferrer-Salat, which has opened wide its doors to present an unrivalled selection of wines from all over the world. And, what's more, to explore the how and the why of each bottle. At a time when the number of wine enthusiasts, all keen to appreciate and to learn, is growing apace, Monvinic opens in the city of Barcelona to promote and to encourage this passion. And to do so in a way that is rigorous and respectful, yet at the same time providing an atmosphere that is natural, uninhibited, joyous and outgoing.

“Passionate winebar and great food!”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

This is a restaurant on the Barcelona scene I look foreward to visit every year. I serves great Catalan food and have an impressive wine cellar. The great pleasant staff certaintly knows their way around wine, and every visit is as much learning as pleasure. A visit to Barcelona without a visit to Monvinic is a waste.

“Exquisite kitchen and a passion for wine”
Reviewed 8 November 2013

What a fun place. The team is so excited about their wine cellar and they only use products from near by. You really can feel the passion of the whole team.

Great wine list with a very exciting menu. Lots of detail in this restaurant. Good pricing for the level of service and food. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

“Wine lover heaven”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

Trendy dining room modernly decorated. Service is very attentive, extremely accommodating, non rushed and friendly. Menu emphasizing local produce and meat is creative but not over the top. The wine cellar is massive and the wine is cleverly listed on iPads where you can search by grape, region, vintage or price. I suggest letting the knowledgable staff choose from the endless selections of Spanish wines for you. I enjoyed the meal very much.

“Outstanding wine accessibility with excellent food”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

[note: we ate here as part of a group lunch, so had a set menu and wines]

Monvinic is quite wine-focused, with a wide variety of selections available. If you are visiting Barcelona, you'll likely be most interested in their extensive selection of wines from all over Spain, and especially nearby Penedes and Priorat. The servers are very knowledgeable and can help you make your selection depending on your taste, what you may order for food, etc. There is also a wine shop and (for members only) a wine study room.

The dining room is lovely, lots of light from a rear courtyard. Excellent service. Wide-ranging menu (available in english) and very deftly prepared food. Wide-ranging meaning fish, game and meat selections, but it isn't too long or un-focused.
