We stayed with friends for four nights when my husband ran the marathon, and had a really lovely weekend. Great location - within walking distance of all the sites, but far enough out of the centre to be a bit quieter and more relaxed.
We arrived a couple of hours early for check-in but were given a room, our friends were asked to wait 15 mins until theirs would be ready. We were all given a complimentary glass of cava while we waited, and the guy on reception gave us a map and leaflets and talked us through the sites and public transport.
Room was lovely; we got a corner room so didn't have an issue with the glass door on the bathroom - the door did not face the bed. The room was spacious and clean and the double-glazing kept out the street noise, we did have a problem with the air-con, it seemed stuck on 24 degrees C which was far too hot, so we just turned it off.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but the food looked great, and very large portions. We did have a number of drinks in the bar and found it very enjoyable, if a little expensive - the bar prices were the same as the minibar.
Some very nice restaurants nearby - particularly loved Patagonia just up Gran Via, the steaks were amazing.
Would definitely recommend this hotel - the location is great, it's very welcoming and the staff are very helpful and accommodating.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are better if you are travelling with a friend or new partner - glass bathroom door doe...

I stayed here for 2 nights. It is perfectly located in the centre of Barcelona. Walking distance nearly to everywhere. check in and check out was great, the female staff at reception was great, helpful and professional. However I did not get welcome drink as indicated in my booking. Everything is so modern in this little hotel. My room was definitely up to date particular the bath room. Room is tiny at least my room is. Tiny little desk, double bed and very small bathroom. It reminds me of HK or Japan. Breakfast starts 7 am, very nice breakfast and very quiet in early morning. Staff are usually friendly and helpful, except the male afternoon staff at reception. He seems always in a hurry. I don't understand why a 4 star hotel need to charge 2 Euro extra for using safe box. surely the hotel could include in the price of the room. There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room. I walked everywhere from the hotel. Another annoying thing is you can clearly hear your neighbour coughing, and people walk in and out of their rooms. There is a supermarket around the corner, if you need anything just out of hotel turn left, first street turn right. The supermarket on your left hand side. It was very pleasant stay and I will definitely come back to the hotel again if the price is right.

Room Tip: I did get the higher floor room.

i stayed here for 2 weeks and was pleased to find this hotel absolutely charming. We were a bigger group and everybody was very impressed with this hotel. Very nice and helpful personnel, rooms were not very big, but very well equipped, extremely comfortable bed, and i liked the fact that the cleaning ladies left the heating and the curtains exactly as i left them in the morning. i appreciated this. normally, at all the others hotels that i stayed in, especially in Barcelona, in the evening when i returned to my room, everything was turned off, but not here. breakfast was very good, they had a small terrace outside in a back yard, very cute. the swimming pool was more like a bigger bath tub, and it was surrounded by blocks of flats, not that nice. but the location was excellent, 10 min walk from Rambla, very close to the metro- Urquinaona stop. i was in town for Alimentaria exhibition, and by metro, it took me about 25 min to get to the Fira Barcelona- Gran Via- great!
the cost of the seif was not included, and for that you had to pay extra- 2euro/day, but the internet was free. the parking was 25 euro/day.
but overall, i would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the upper level, on the quiet side

Nice position, 25-30 min by car from the airport, 5-10 min. to walk to the Plaza Catalunya where you can take the touristic bus. Rooms are modern but small (even the superior rooms are a little bit small - but in exchange you have a terrace). If you want to use the safe deposit in your room you will be charged 2 euros/day extra. Breakfast is OK, good ideea with the variety of choices and Cava but, of course, there are things to improved for a 4 stars hotel (cheese is cut very, very small and some tuna or "boquerones en vinagre" will be appreciate as well as olives... because we are in Spain, don't we?). Helpful front-desk, good housekeeping service, garage facilities but small and expensive - 27 euros/day.

Room Tip: try first floor, superior room with terrace, view to the little pool (from 110 to 116)

Hotel: in my opinion,it'S A 4 STAR. At arriving, it isn't atractive from the outside, it seems you are entering an office building if you compare it to the beautiful historical buildings around. The lobby is quite simple, with no ostentation. However, the rooms are very nice, a bit small, and the bathroom is excellent. My room had a street view, and I had breakfast included in the rate. Breakfast is excellent and complete, with eggs, pastry, fruits, cheeses and cold meats, including famous spanish ham, and cava, an spanish white wine. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Location: The hotel is 10 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya, 3 blocks away from Passei de Gracia. in my opinion, perfect.
Some Tips:
Places to eat:La Rita, Ca La Nuri for typical spanish seafood, Cerveceria Catalana and Ciudad Condal for tapas, last 2 places be patient, at least 30 minutes wait in central hours, unless you show up too late or too early. Another good thing is to take the touristic bus, hop on hop off bus, it's en excellent way to get to know the city, which is really beautiful. Don't miss Park Guell, las Ramblas, Monumento a Colon, La Barceloneta; Paseo de Gracia with historical Gaudi buildings Casa Batllo and La Pedrera, the beautiful Barrio Gotico, Sagrada Familia Church, and the colorful Mercado de la Boqueria.

This is a modern hotel with nice rooms equipped with a large bathroom(bath+showerlots of mirrors, hairdryer), flat screen TV and safe . The window of the room opens (room 612). Small minibar with space to put your own stuff.
Free wifi in the room and 2 pc's to use in the lobby.
There's also an outdoor pool. Continental breakfast is very good.
Staff is multilingual, friendly and helpfull. No problems for late check in or keeping the luggage when checking out.
One of the best hotels i stayed at in Barcelona.

Only one negative remark: we had roomservice. They we're in such a hurry that the meat wasn't baked enough, the food was very good.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back. Very calm and a nice view

We have had a sale conference for 3 days, 30 people at the hotel. Meeting rooms and possibility to use the nice back yard and pool area for recreation during the breaks were great.

Breakfast and lunch very delicate and highly appreciated by all.

Location great for shopping and walks in the old town.
