Our family of four ate an early dinner here at the recommendation of one of my best friends who visited last year. We tried a lot of things and everything was excellent, but the standouts were the steak chimichurri, octopus, pork ribs, tomato and fresh mozzarella, and the cava sangria. We ate in the quiet back room with a couple other tables, but the front part near the bar was much livelier. Would recommend this restaurant highly.

Had a wonderful meal at Tapeo el Born. Made reservations online and was seated immediately. The menu had a mix of Catalan dishes and specials were posted on the wall. Tried the pork ribs with honey and mustard, artichoke chips, grilled leek confit with olive paste, truffled egg with foie gras and mushrooms, and Fideua - black cuttlefish pasta. Everything was excellent and the Fideua is a great Catalan dish to try. Definitely a place to go back and try more food at.

So we went for the bravas, which were outstanding. Everything else we tried was delicious too. BUT, and this is an important "but", we went for lunch on a weekday. The bravas were so good we went back on a Friday evening. The place gets very crowded so we had to wait for about half an hour to be seated. We thought it was worth it, though, because the bravas were really that good. Turns out they weren't as good the second time around (they were a bit soggy); and same goes for the rest of the tapas. Not bad, but definitely not delicious. So there is a consistency issue. It seems when the place is packed, the kitchen doesn't deliver to the same level. So... I advice you go for lunch on a weekday. I will definitely try that again.

Came here off a recommendation and we were not disappointed! We ordered 4 dishes for the 2 of us and each of them was exceptional.
I would definitely recommend the ribs!

Like the food! maybe not every dish is great to my opinion but I have my favorite dishes! And I will go back when I have a chance!
