We bought our tickets online in advance and skipped the lines for this awesome museum. The collection is extensive including works from a very young (14 year old) Picasso to his later modern works, pottery and photography. Even the kids enjoyed it!

I was quite disappointed. Thankfully we get the free tickets and I’d recommend to book those tickets online. You can get a free ticket every first Sunday of the month and every Thursday. After 6pm. We went to the 7.20pm entrance, it was mostly a Picasso photography show than his art in general. The museum is quite small and we spent less than an hour inside.

Situated in the Gothic quarter the entrance to this museum may be considered by some to be fairly discreet. Once inside visitors realise that there is an extensive display area. this is primarily due to the fact that the museum started with only one house which formerly belonged to nobility and was built in the 13th century. Subsequently a further 5 adjoining houses were purchased to create the current venue. Galleries are to be found on several floors but lifts are available. For those over the age of 65 a reduced entry fee is charged, Euros 7.50. Displayed are paintings from Picasso's early life as well as his later years. Strongly recommended, not only for the artwork displayed but also for the restored historic buildings.

I highly recommend visiting the Museu Picasso. I have been to the Picasso museum in Paris, but this museum offered a very unique perspective in to Picasso's early works. Our group did not buy advance tickets and we were able to enter the museum within 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. One added bonus is that the museum is housed in four former private residences.

It was a nice experience at this museum. It was great to see his work. Maybe I expected a little more? We didn’t see many famous paintings, only a few...
Good to know; every first sunday of the month, free enterece. Tickets neef to be booked on the official website of the museum.
