Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

“Breathtaking city views & Gaudi too!”
Reviewed 8 December 2013

We were fortunate to visit Guell Park on a sunny day. It's a special place perched high on a hill overlooking the city with whimsical Gaudi structures at every turn.

We took a bus to get to Guell Park and had to walk quite a distance uphill from the bus stop to the park entrance. This was fine for us but anyone who has mobility issues may wish to take a taxi.

“Simply the Best”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

This is my favorite attraction in Barcelona. I had researched it before visiting (I heard about it from Vicky Cristina Barcelona actually) and made the choice to go up by myself. Finding it via metro/walking was quite easy actually, though it is a bit of a walk. The park itself is amazing. I've never seen anything like it. It is literally a park made out of mosaic stone and it is gorgeous and original. It's also a little off the beaten path, so not as busy as other attractions. After wandeing around for awhile I sat on one of the benches at the top of the park and read a book for awhile. I don't often spend money on souvenirs but I definitely picked up a book about the park being sold in the gift shop.

“Overpriced entry fee”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

The entrance fee is 8 Euro per person and this is just for the 'monumental' section of the park which is a small area. It is still worth visiting as the mosaic work is beautiful, but be aware that there is not as much to see as your are probably expecting, if you see all the publicity and postcards showing parts of Park Guell.

“Guell Park”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

This is a fasnating park - I think that the famous arkitekt, Gaudi, have created a very unik place. The way he have created decoration on the benches using bilts from botells and other things made of glas or ceramic - realy creativ!
The view from the park is very nice!
You must try not to miss thbis park! Among the "wonders" Gaudi have created, this is one of his best!
