Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

Park Guell is an attractive place. It's clean, beautifully landscaped, has interesting art and architecture to look at - and a zillion illegal vendors to step over. Really, the police should license or remove them. It was the only place where these sorts kept you from enjoying the experience!

If you like walking the city, this park has an elevated walking tour. The park is beautiful and does have a cost to see more art and design. Depending on your love for Gaudi and time, at least do the outer walk, if you have time, pay for the interior tour.

We went to the park on our last day in Barcelona and were pleasantly surprised. There were, however, long queues to get into the main event so book online if you can...or book as soon as you get there. We didn't and ended up missing out as had to leave for the airport. The walk around the park is stunning with some fantastic views of the city so still worth a visit if you can't get tickets! It is a VERY steep walk..or steps..up to the park so not very suitable for disabled/wheelchairs and pushchairs would be difficult, even in the park as that is steep too. We enjoyed Gaudi's house museum and gained a lot of knowledge from that so it's worth a visit!

Essential viewing. Intended to be a residential park outside the city, only a couple of houses were built. Park itself is unique, with Gaudi curves and broken tile designs in the walls. Read about it before you go. Easy access by bus. Watch your belongings - anywhere in Barcelona.

You just have to go. It's UNESCO world heritage site so beware that they have to limit the number of people in the park at any not time, so there might be a wait. But if there is just walk around the rest of the park or visit Gaudi's house museum which is also on the grounds. All beautiful
