Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

“Favorite Park in Barcelone”

I loved this Park. If you arrive in the evening it is free at a certain hour, but you have to beat the sun set. We also walked to the top where there is a cross-highly recommend, beautiful 360 view of Barcelone. I could stay there for hours and just look at the view.

“Delightful! Not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

We arrived at the park around 8 am, just as it opened, and it was wonderfully empty. We wandered in and around all the magical sculptures and toured the fanciful buildings. Once the tourist buses arrived we went hiking through the rest of the grounds. It is a very large park, beautiful, shady, paved trails frequented by the local dog-walkers and joggers. Take your time, and start early.

“So quirky!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

This park is like walking through a dream or children's book: bright colors and strange shapes everywhere. It's just such a quirky and wonderful place. You can buy tickets for the monumental zone (where all the buildings and sculptures are) in advance. Tickets are limited (400 people per half hour) and you must enter the monumental zone on time. The park's a bit far away from most of the other attractions in the city, so allow some time for transit.

“Book a Time slot Before you go”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

This is another amazing Gaudi attraction.
But be prepared to Queue for a long time if you don't book ahead online. You actually have to book a time slot to go into the Gaudi section of the park.
The rest of the park is free. The park was very interesting, but we wasted half a day trying to get our tickets, massive queues & then once inside there was so many people it was almost unpleasant. I would strongly recommend going here early to try & beat the crowds.
The Park is enormous & has lovely walking trails & picnic spots.
Despite the crowds its certainly worth a visit.

“A beautiful park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

A beautiful park up on a hill. There is a lot of Gaudi nearby but you must have a ticket. You should get one online if possible. There is a metro stop about 8 minute walk.
