Owner description: Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains. A visit to La Pedrera, landmark building and container, gives us a better understanding and appreciation of architecture and transports us to the period when Antoni Gaudí lived.

“Gaudi all over!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

Take the audioguide, buy tickets prior to visit or arrive early in the morning. The Pedrera is great, the view from the roof is phenomenal, the attic is filled with anything Gaudi did and the appartment helps you imagining living there. The 'free photo' is a scam though!

“Where did Gaudi get these ideas!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

An incredible building right on Passeig de Gracia. Built in the early 1900s this is Gaudi's masterpiece of urban living quarters. Together with Casa Battlo just two blocks down, you must see the Pedrera and definitely go to the rooftop to enjoy mystical elements of his architecture and the view of Barcelona

“Great Architectural Features”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

It is phenomenal how Gaudi built this building without any of the interior walls being support walls. The brick arches in the attic are wonderful. Audio tour available and I would recommend buying tickets online before you go.

“Expensive”

The same as house battlo. It's too expensive. I was disappointed by the exaggerated price and didn't enter.

“So cool!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014

I was debating between visiting this house and Casa Batllo, and I'm glad I chose this one. The building truly reflects Gaudi's architectural style on both the exterior and interiors of the building. My favorite part was the top floor, where not only could you get a great view of the city, but the structures at the top are awesome as well. There is a fee, but it's well worth it!
