Owner description: Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains. A visit to La Pedrera, landmark building and container, gives us a better understanding and appreciation of architecture and transports us to the period when Antoni Gaudí lived.

“worth the visit”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

I loved Casa Mila. Unfortunately at the time the exterior was being renovated so we were unable to see it.
However the interior and the roof were amazing.
Be sure to pre- purchase your tickets so you can skip the lines.

“Too expensive for what we sow”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

The visit to Casa Mila is cost around 18€, they don't make much of discounts for students or disable people, just shamelessly sale anything with Gaudi's name. And this place did not cost so much, we sow only white walls that have a nice shape. Inside we mostly sow rooms with souvenirs. I think it's much better to go only to the park Guell.

“Fascinating and whimsical architecture”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Even our teen boys enjoyed seeing the interesting architecture of La Pedrera. The tour allows you into three parts of the structure: the roof, the attic, and one apartment (which is furnished to represent what it would have looked like at the time of construction). The roof structures are great for photos.

“Amazing Gaudi”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

La Pedrera is a spectacular architectural feat. Gaudi was briliant in his use of form and line, creating magical fairlytale like formations. the roof is glorious, not only for it's architectural marvel but for the view of Barcelona from above. A must-see on anyone's trip.

“Gaudi is Great”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Another must see Gaudi creation. This apartment building is simply a work of art. Gaudi's typical inverted parabolic style is masterfully employed and executed. Unfortunately, current restoration prevented full appreciation of the exterior features, but we were still blown away by the architectural and design features of the apartment, attic and rooftop.

We went as part of a tour package, so entry was quick. Long lines outside suggest any advance reservation or package that bypasses the lines is worthwhile.
