We stayed at Hotel Arts, it's probably the most expensive one there but it's on the beach with all the action- clubs and the beach walk - really fun to rent bikes and ride the strip, check out what shows are playing at Opium if you like to go out and always buy tix online to anything, museum tickets, shows anything. The online ticket lines are always 4x shorter! Use your concierge!

Location by the beach and great view from the rooms. Near the subway. Recommend the hotel if you like to stroll / run along the beach promenade, or go to the beach in the siummer time. Rooms and service is fantastic. Some drawbacks:

1. Internet is 25 euro per day (but worked well in our room)
2. Everything at the hotel is crazy expensive.
3. They have nespresso instant coffe machines in the rooms (which they rarely refilled no matter the tip). We do not like this liquid at all, so this is a showstopper for us coming back. I know some people like this coffee so for them it's probably an advantage.

Room Tip: The higher the better I guess

This is a wonderful and luxurious hotel. It is a bit out if the way from downtown but that's just fine. It's a quick cab ride or short walk. The staff is wonderful and it is truly luxurious. The only negative is very very high prices for food in the hotel. The rooms are marvelous and again the staff is so helpful.

This hotel was originally designed to Ritz Carlton specs. I have stayed here 3 times- each time in one of the two floor-level suites and each time exactly what I expected.

Classy hotel, good service, good location, fantastic views. Barcelona is my favorite city in Spain and this hotel does the town justice.

This was a birthday treat and we made the best decision by staying here. The service surpasses all 5 star hotels I've stayed in, not only because of the facilities but also because of the friendliness and hospitality of all staff. Everything was exceptional from the moment we checked in to this luxurious hotel until the moment we didn't really want to leave.

Being by the beach and not the centre of Barcelona is itself a bonus as we took morning strolls after breakfast before heading into town. The taxi ride was never more than 10 Euros.

The rooms were very spacious with very large bathrooms and we had an impressive view of the beach and coastline.

After a long day of shopping we returned to find in our room a bottle of bubbly and chocolate cake on the day of the birthday of one guest which was just amazing. Thank you.
The staff were great and made dinner reservations for us at the exclusive Carpe Diem Lounge on the beach.

The Spa was simply fantastic and on two levels. We all had treatments and were truly revitalized.

This is a hotel where you will spend a few $$$ but in our opinion it is worth every cent.

So often 5 Star hotels disappoint, whether it is the service being too formal or the location being so-so, but the Arts hotel in Barcelona delivers a genuine top of the charts experience every time. Staff is helpful and tuned in on making everything so convenient. Rooms are lovely, the views are some of the best in the city, and the spa is amazing. I come here once a year for work, and I have never ben disappointed. The things I would consider before booking this hotel for a family trip: 1) it is great to be by the beach, but be aware that you are a little away from the center of Barcelona, and may need to take taxis back and forth if the children are not up for the walk. 2) the restaurants in the neighborhood are a bit touristy, so plan on going into town for (most) dinners if you are looking for a local vibe, although Barceloneta area is close and holds some good restaurants.

Room Tip: Go for ocean view, alternatively some rooms have good views of the Sagrada Familia, and without the...

Just spent 3 nights at this large modern hotel. This is not the type of hotel we would normally stay in, as we find that you get a more personal service from smaller hotels. On this occasion that is wrong. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Quick smooth check in. I arrived at 1pm and , as I expected, the room was not ready, I went for a walk along the beach and on my return an hour later the room was ready and luggage delivered. We ate in the Tapas restaurant one evening and food and service could not have been better. The second night we asked if a restaurant outside the hotel could be recommended and we had a lovely meal in a seafood restaurant along the beech front. Top marks go to the staff in Frank's bar were nothing was too much trouble. I would especially like to thank the blonde female member of staff who made me feel very welcome and comfortable on the first evening , when I was on my own ( my daughter did not arrive until midnight).
After all the praises I am happy to give the hotel and staff, I must mention the price of breakfast, €34 each and the price of a small bottle of water from the mini bar €9 , both I feel unnecessarily expensive when we had already spent €475 per night for the room.
