“Amazing Building!”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Wonderful experience. Bought tickets ahead of time to beat the lines. Crowded inside, but you still manage to get all the pictures that you want. The main dining room is amazing! There are so many little details that makes a Gaudi building a Gaudi... Make sure to try the elevator! It's a dizzying experience!

“An unusual family home”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Antonio Gaudi designed this family house with great inspiration. The colours are amazing, his use of light is spectacular, there are no straight lines, his knowledge of ergonomics and the use of natural materials, wood, ceramics have to be seen to be believed

“Unique architecture”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

A very beautiful building with unique architecture designed by Gaudi, though very expensive (21 euros is the entrance fee!).

“A master piece of Art Nouveau”
Reviewed 14 May 2014 via mobile

This was my favorite of all Gaudi's work, along with Park Güell. There were moments when i was hit by the wackiness and absolute genius of Gaudi and delegent attention to detail, it pretty much felt like my breathing would stop!! The audio-guide was great too, it helped me endulge the finest details of the texture of the wooden banisters/dragon's spine. It's worth every penny !!

“Flight of Fancy not to be missed.”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

This is one of the Gaudi buildings in the city open to visitors, and one of the few with a short queue - when we visited there was an 8-minute queue, and we passed the place 4-5 times and it was never any longer than this. So for us there was no need to pre-book. Tickets include a helpful audioguide which is timed just right. Since it is privately owned, it is open on Mondays when many of the attractions/museums are closed.
It is on the "Block of Discord" - the last of 3 buildings apparently built by some of the richest men in Barcelona, and each vying to have the best "house". I believe it was the last of the three built and you can just imagine the chagrin of the neighbouring owners who had invested in such terrific buildings to then find themselves outdone so dramatically by Gaudi. You just have to look at the outside to wonder at the imagination and skill in the design and build. Then you go inside and are taken slowly through the rooms and up the innovative and colourful light-well to the spectacular roof and attics at the end of the tour, where you can enjoy the colours and complexity of the chimneys and tiling of the 'dragon's back'. The guide explains each architectural innovation and "fantasy" as you go. Colourful. Fanciful. Innovative. Creative. Beautiful. And a great view from the top.
