4 friends and I stayed here in June 2012, in a twin with bath, and a triple using the shared bathrooms. The shared bathrooms were clean and we never had to wait for the showers, which can be an issue in a big hostel. The decor is that of a boutique hotel - whilst we were there they were celebrating the recent fashion week and the art installations were all fashion related. Breakfast is free, and is pretty much what you'd expect from a.n.other hostel so by casa gracia standards was average (toast, jam, tea, cornflakes, iffy milk, - some fresh fruit would be a positive addition).

My husband and I stayed in this hostel for what was our first visit to Barcelona. We found the directions we were given easy to follow and loved the location of the hostel which was such a short walk to some of Barcelona's best known attractions. There were also loads of great places to eat and drink nearby. Our room was lovely - very clean, modern and with a funky en suite bathroom. The high ceilings gave a sense of spaciousness and the air con was wonderful! We also found the staff really friendly and helpful (with embarrassingly good English).

The only negatives were the lack of sound proofing so that when all the partying crowd got home in early hours and crashed about outside our room and above us it was impossible to sleep through - pack ear plugs! Also breakfast was disappointing, toast and cornflakes (no fruit, yoghurt or breakfast pastry in sight)!

My boyfriend and I stayed here in May for 4 nights in a private room with private bath. It was my boyfriend's first hostel experience and I could tell that he was visibly impressed with the hostel. The pictures you see online are exactly what you are going to see, so I was happy not to be dissapointed. The staff were very kind and we took advantage of the evening social acitvities as a way to meet people and for some inexpensive but delicious meals.

It was a really great place to stay in a great location, that I would recommend to all young people. They had really good internet on all floors and it was very clean.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room facing the street and if you are a light sleeper I would request a room on the o...

Amazing place! Location is perfect, the hostel is very clean and cozy. I was traveling alone, but didnt feel lonely a minute. The staff is very nice and friendly and they make a warm at a daytime and party-mood atmosphere in the evening. They also organize some kind of a groups to go with them to the bar or club almost every evening. So, especially if you travel alone its a right place to stop.

Room Tip: If you want to sleep in a quiet room - choose the one without bathroom. You can also find it on each...

Spent 3 nights here in a private triple. Room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Only issues we had were the Wi-Fi connectivity was very poor, and we were able to hear many of the comings and goings along the corridor outside the room. Staff were very friendly, and though we didn't take part, there were always events being planned for most evenings of.the week. Within 15 minutes walk of La Sagrada Familia, and two other Gaudi buildings just down the road, and 2 minutes from the metro stop, the value for money of the place far outweighs the minor issues.

We stayed in a private room with a view of passeg di gracia. The private rooms with bathrooms are really lovely, like staying in a boutique hotel. The hostel itself is stunning, in a beautiful old building. The hostel has awesome events every night which have great atmosphere, like mojito nights, paella nights and clubbing. Thoroughly recommend this place. It is really close to the diagonal metro station.

Room Tip: Book early and try for a room on the 5th floor

Nice hostel set in a beautiful building in a great part of town. Really close to La Pedrera and Casa Battló, also good metro and bus connections. Rooms are nicely decorated, but the ones facing the street a little noisy during the night. Good breakfast spread, very kind nice staff.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back (not dorm rooms) are quieter.
