Nice view of the city and church there is really good. One can also use the amusement park if with children! From the top of the church one view France boundary on a clear day as told to us by a local guide.

Tibidabo is worth to see, you have a great view of whole barcelona. The amusement park is not really an attraction, maybe its good for kids. We took the train L7 to AV Tibidabo, then de Tramvia Blue (nice but very expensive, 4,80? one way, 3,80 back for a 10 minutes ride) and then a railway on top of the hill(7,70? up and down). Next time i would use a bus going up, its a lot cheaper with T10 Ticket. But All in all it was great, the view is amazing!

We've been to Barcelona several times and never went up on Mt. Tibidabo. Finally on this trip we did, and WOW, what a view! It takes a bit of effort to get there (HOHO bus, tram and funicula) but that's all part of the fun. Get to the top and have a glass of Cava. The kids can go on the rides in the hundred year old amusement park. You'll all love it!

A must see and do if in Barcelona. We took hop on hop off bus to get to area then took a trolley car up the hill where you see mansions lining the street. Then you take a Funicular the rest of the way to the very top of the mountain. Sounds like a lot but it is not and lots to see on way. Be sure to look thru coupon book that hop on/off bus gives there are coupons for some of these attractions. Once on top there is an amusement park which is facinating, it is sitting on top of this mountain and the a temple which you can pay a little extra once in temple and take elevator and stairs to top. The views are something to see and the temple is beautiful. There are bathrooms and food service. Another great experience. We stayed a little later and trolley stopped running, if this happens just cross street from stop and a public bus will take you down.

We visited on Dec 2013 and had a great time, took the funicular. The views were amazing. You can see the French alps all the way at the top on a clear day !
We entered the church and to our surprise an older gentleman( late 80"s) approached my husband and I. He wanted to tell us the history of the church if we had a few minutes to listen. At first we were hesitant, we initially though it was a tourist trap to distract us. Glad we took the time , amazing 15 minutes listening to the history of the church and site coming from a local that loves his country, Loved it. He took the time to point out the crest from my country located underneath the cupula of the church. Latin countries colonized by Spain. The day trip was great way to get away from the rush and hustle of Barcelona, very relaxing. This lovely gentleman volunteers to share the history of the church on a voluntary basis and walks a few miles from his town close by. Those couple of minutes made the trip so much better , if you speak Spanish and find a smiling Señor inside the church wanting to share the history and a nice little chat, have a sit and enjoy the free learning session :)
