So I had seen on the internet that this place didn't get the best reviews, but many of the reviewers complained mainly about the fact that this was just some kind of texmex, not real Mexican food. So, I never went to Mexico, I wouldn't know the difference, so this did not deter me from trying the restaurant myself.
Well ... I just did not like the food. It was abundant, it wasn't expensive, but it wasn't tasty. The nopal salad was huge, four people could perfectly have shared it, but they had used only bitter varieties of salad, and it was topped with an excessice amount of dried oregano (as was my main dish). What about some fresh herbs? And isn't oregano more typical for Italian food? I don't know.
My main dish, the vegetarian "sincronizado" came with a guacamole that had an incredibly soapy taste (too much coriander?), and it was generally too salty for my taste.
My boyfriend's main dish was okay, but nothing special either - he said that apart from being served in a taco, his meet/vegetable-combo did not have anything Mexican about it.
So, this is not a place for gourmets.
But the service was friendly and the restaurants seems to be hugely popular with younger people, because from nine o'clock on this started to be really crowed. We were lucky to get a table without reservation because we went so early.
