Great place to buy fresh produce, meat and fish or grab something for lunch. Josep is a small corner food stand with some great takeaway items such as pasta, meatballs, salads, meats and a variety of other dishes.

You know you have arrived when you see a wavy brightly painted tin roof. It is very similar to le market de la Boqueria, in terms of fresh produce, fish, seafood in abundance and herbs spices and everything lovely about food. We loved it, and we particularly loved Bar Joan, serving wine, beer and lovely tapas. It was also great to see how busy they were with local people. The locals also shopped for fresh produce within the market. Lovely place to spend some time.

Market is nice, there are a lot of products that seem to be of good quality and a lot to see even if you don’t intend to buy many stuff. Just look around and enjoy!

We went to this market late one afternoon and allot of the stalls/vendors were closed. This is a very small market compared to the La Boqueria Market (off of Las Ramblas) and has a wavy Gaudi-inspired multi-colored ceramic roof.

Great place to get some coffee or wine and of course some great Spanish food. We like Bar Joan for breakfast. Also, there are some good shoppes for gifts.
