First of all I would like to thank you for having chosen Hotel España for your recent trip to Barcelona.
We appreciate to have your feedback since we are always concerned by the remarks and satisfactions of our guests.
About the breakfast, I think there must be a missunderstanding at some point. You have always hot dishes available (sausages, beans, ...) and fried eggs or an omelette are done on requets at the time.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our Hotel very soon. My best regards.

Located on a quiet side street off the Ramblas, this hotel is elegant and chic, tastefully decorated but not overdone. Esthetically pleasing everywhere you look, even the stairwells. Beautiful bathroom with a double sink (although the lighting is a bit weird). Rooms are clean and quiet, beds very comfortable. Friendly and efficient staff. Rooftop bar is great! We had breakfast only once in the hotel, preferring to eat at the nearby La Boqueria market. Breakfast was a bit pricey for what we got. A/c was working and was efficient.

Location is great - close to the La Boqueria and many metro stops. It was a joy to come back to this hotel at the end of the day! I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Since this hotel is located on a quiet side street, we did not have problems with street noise. We...

My wife and I spent a 3 night city break here and found the hotel to be excellent.

It is brilliantly situated in the heart of the action, just off La Rambla, with easy access to everything you might want.

The staff were friendly and exceedingly helpful in every respect, whether recommending things to do/places to eat, arranging cabs, arranging to look after out luggage. Even before our trip, they took the time to fully answer my questions about transport, finding the place etc. and even provided a welcoming bottle of Cava as it was my wife's 50th birthday.

(By the way, don't waste your money on cabs and private shuttles to the airport - the Aerobus takes you from outside the terminal to Placa De Catalunya, from where it is not even a 10 minute walk down La Rambla to the hotel).

We had a deluxe room, which was small but nontheless well appointed, comfortable and very clean. It even had a small balcony and an amazing bathroom. I asked for a quiet room and we were given room 202, which is at the end of the hallway overlooking the narrow street on which the hotel is situated. There was some internal noise but not much and closing the balcony door almost completely eliminated and external noise.

The only 2 slight negatives are (1) Breakfast was expensive and the selection was a bit limited. Plenty of other places around though. (2) Most TV programming was chargeable, leaving us with a choice of local programming. Most wa sin Spanish but there were some old episodes of the likes of Castle and CSI with English soundtrack selectable.

Apart from that, we had a great stay and I would definitely highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We were in 202, which was reasonably quiet. Rooms on this side have balconies too.

The public spaces here are really exceptional. Even if you don't stay here, go in and look around! So many amazing details, metal and stone work, light fixtures, out of this world plaster work and murals. The bar and restaurant are a visual feast as well. The room was nice and comfortable and quiet.

The room was clean and very modern with a great shower room.
The restaurant was fab the food and the waiting staff looked after us, it was my wifes 40th birthday and they even brought a cake for her.

Great place to stay central but quite too.. We had an inside room.

Thanks to all the staff for making it a pleasant stay.

This hotel is in a perfect location, just off of Las Ramblas. Metro station at the end of the road, but we found walking everywhere was possible as the city is quite compact.

Service was always friendly and efficient. The interior of the hotel is stunning.

Room design and amenities were modern and included everything you needed. The free soft drinks were a very nice touch.

Very reasonably priced in our opinion, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed here last weeks for three nights. The hotel is in an excellent location just off of Las Ramblas. Great service on arrival, our room wasn't ready but they just put us in a different one so we didn't have to wait.
Room was lovely, quite small but thats expected in a city. Comfy beds, lots of wardrobe space, not that you need it for a few days. Very clean with a lovely bathroom and an amazing shower! Free minibar too which was a nice touch.
Only tiny complaint was the room was really hot and they don't let you control your own air con and when we asked them to put it on they got a bit funny with us. Don't think they ever actually put it on but other than that we had a great time and would definitely visit the hotel again.
