This was my first time staying in a hostel and my first time in Europe and I absolutely fell in LOVE with this place! The staff is remarkably friendly and can answer all of your questions about Barcelona. The nightly group dinners are so much fun and a great way to get to know people. I would highly recommend attending them. The hostel then arranges for the group to go out to bars or clubs every night which is so much fun. I was so sad to leave this place and all of the people that I met here! I will be coming here every time I visit Barcelona!

This hostel is a little out of the way and very small (38 person capacity). Has lots of restaurants and corner stores around. The rooms are quaint. The bathrooms are small, beds are rackety, equipped with AC, and each patron is entitled to one locker. it is right on the green subway line which will take you anywhere in Barcelona. Our room was essentially located in a hallway so we had foot traffic coming in and out all day/night. Really defeated the purpose of having a Key to the lock as a third of the guests at the hostel had the same key and were staying on your floor.

the outdoor terrace was a nice place to unwind but closed very early due to noise levels in the neighbourhood. Staff are usually ok with you staying there after curfew if its just you and a couple buds, but will shut it down if there are more people. Just tell them you're going for a dart and they'll let you outside. If you go in the jacuzzi i'd recommend going to a Doctor after to get tested for STDs. The fact that it's a "main selling point" and hasn't been clean in god knows how long was insulting.

The hostel prepares dinner every night on a tip-basis. they claim that tips go towards the meal the next evening. If you're only in town for a few nights and want a real taste of Barcelona, I would scrap the "free" dinner and go eat nice Tapas near the hostel.

Don't get trapped with "NASTY MONDAYS" this is an extremely cheap ploy by the hostel to take you to a dump of a club. The Hostel receives a kickback on cover charges (15Euro cover w/ one free drink). They act like it's the hottest club in Barcelona on a Monday night and are very pushy, borderline forceful for you to go out that night. Just make sure you're very drunk before going out to this event!

Overall, this hostel served its purpose as a place to sleep and shower (barely, extremely small showers), and store your belongings. It has great wifi, along with a computer lab and full service kitchen.

Stayed in a double room which adjoined a 6 bed dorm. The room itself was spacious, had it's own mirror and lockers, aircon and was clean. The only difficulty was waiting for the shower/toilet which was in the same room and shared between 6-10 people.
Great common areas inside and out downstairs, very sociable little hostel.
Relatively easy walk to las ramblas. The staff here were exceptionally lovely and very helpful.

Loved this place!

The staff here are the best you will find in any hostel. Go out of there way for you no matter what the request. They know all the clubs to go to and can basically walk you past the lines so you are not waiting 2 hours.

They do a communal dinner here every night and you just chip in tips to pay for it. Its a great way to meet people at the hostel and have a few drinks before going out.

Location is perfect amongst a not very tourist area with heaps of great eating out options. Close to a metro and very easy access to all the sights of Barcelona.

Recommend strongly for people who are social and are looking at having fun. The rooms are tiny bit small and the showers could do with some ventilation but all the good stuff about this hostel outways any small negatives.

The atmosphere of this hostel is great! They really encourage people to have a good time, so drinking does become a big focus in the evening. Everyone night a bunch of people go out to a bar or a club, so it does mean people will be coming back to the rooms at all hours of the morning. The real benefit is that you get to skip the line at clubs and go with a group of people.

One of the benefits is a free family dinner which everyone eats together, It gives you a chance to meet people. The only downside i found was the hostel was predominantly made up of young Australian males, nothing wrong with us but it meant there was a lack of diversity amongst the people staying there. Not the hostel's fault of course!

The staff themselves are super friendly and do whatever they can to accommodate you and help you make the most of Barcelona. The location is in Paralel which is non-touristy and has some great tapas bars. Be careful at night, it can be a bit dodgy but I had no problems. It is about a 15 walk to La Ramblas, and there is a metro station nearby, and a bus which will take you to the beach.

I stayed in a 4 bed room which was quite small, so there was little room to put your bags. There was a small locker though. I was on the first floor and so shared a bathroom with only 6 people meaning I rarely had to wait. The shower is small, but the bathroom itself is very clean. The air-conditioning was very good! The beds are ok, they do creak when someone moves, but that is pretty standard with hostel bunk beds,

All in all, everyone that stayed here seemed to have a great time, so the ratings and reviews are justified.
