We stay in hilton hotels around the world and this would have to be our worst experience so far. We are gold hhonors members and are always upgraded and given access to the executive lounges but in this case we were treated like trespassers in the executive lounge and told that it is only for diamond members since they were overbooked. I looked around and there was not one single person in the lounge that was "overcrowded". I was having trouble making an international phone call so I went to the front desk to help me out. The manager refused to dial it on his phone and kept repeating to dial the same way I had been calling. After check out I was charged almost $20 for those calls that did not go through. The maids never restocked the shampoo and soap and I had to wait 30 minutes (after calling them twice) just to get that to my room so I could take a shower. The rooms were so tiny, but I guess that is standard for europe. This hotel does not treat it's loyal customers well and the executive lounge was continuously empty the entire time despite them claiming the hotel is so overcrowded. I will never stay here again.

We stayed here before our cruise. Rooms were small but everything is new and the bed was very comfortable. It is close to the metro and wedged between two malls with lots of food options. A perk was the ihome alarm clock. We were able to charge our ipods and ipad without taking turns on the converter/adapter.

I have stayed in this hotel for three days for a business trip. This hotel is situated on the Avinguda Diagonal which is considered as Retail outlet stretch in Barcelona. Metro station is very close which is at walking distance.

Hotel staff is very cooperative and hospitality shown by the staff was overwhelming. Front office staff Ms. Miriam could guide us for the places of attraction in Barcelona and was very positive and attending to customers. The room was very clean and the bed linen provided was very good. I had a nice sleep during the night with out any disturbances. The continental break fast provided was satisfactory. The internet services and the television channels provided was excellent.

Totally this was a nice hotel to stay.

Room Tip: It would be better to have a room which should be facing towards the main road. However, all the ro...

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in early June, and were extremely satisfied. The staff is extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They helped us book a great tour to Girona and Figueres. Rooms are modern and well appointed. In fact, I don't think I've stayed in a cleaner, more spotless room! Breakfast in the executive lounge was amazing--delicious manchego cheese, jamon iberico and other Spanish delicacies. Be aware, though, that it's not located in a tourist area. It's more like a financial area, with modern buildings and a shopping center nearby. We were gone all day sightseeing, so we didn't mind. It just takes a few more stops on the metro to get there, and the metro stop is within walking distance. You can even get on the Bus Touristic within a couple of blocks. The lobby is expansive, beautiful and comfortable. Everything looks newly decorated with ultra modern furniture. We left our luggage with the concierge on our last day so we could finish sightseeing. I wouldn't hesitate to staying there again, even though you won't see it in most travel books. (Note: we observed an American couple with two young children being very rude to the staff at the front desk. It was hard to sit back and observe this behavior. Let's all remember that we represent our countries when we travel too. )

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor away from noise.

Hotel is located near the airport with taxi stand opposite its entrance, and malls on both sides. Hotel lobby is typical of business hotel. Reception staff was extremely helpful and courteous in providing information on tourism within city. Room was spacious, with no complimentary water. Trash was not collected nad left near relaxing chair, used shampoo and soap were not cleared from washroom. It took me lot of repeated attempts and active efforts over 2 days to get them cleaned. Bed was cozy, and temperature was just right for good night sleep. There was no external noise or disturbance. Wash basin had shattered glass. There were no toilteries like toothpaste/ brush, comb etc which were not provided despite requests placed with reception as well as room service. Bathing area does not have complete glass enclosure. Breakfast at Mosaic restaurant was tasty and at par of any 5 star property. Hilton provides free internet in lobby, but not in room.

The Hilton Barcelona is a very classy, modern hotel in a nice area of Barcelona. Check in went well with our late arrival due to late evening flight. The room was small but clean with an ultra modern bathroom. The bed an bedding was exceptional and sleep was fine. Location was good. There was a very good Tapas restaurant right next door that served very good food. Our Wifi wasn't free and didn't work well but a call to the desk helped with a different password. Customer service was excellent and most spoke English.

We stayed at this property on two consecutive weekends, with a cruise in between. The first weekend we arrived very late at night to discover that our adjoining rooms (that we had requested months earlier) were not available. Instead of being able to put the kids in one room, my wife and I had to split up.
When we returned the following weekend, they couldn't be nicer. Excellent service throughout the hotel.
We found the hotel to be in a good central location and have nicely sized and clean rooms. The executive lounge had very good food (for a lounge).
