We had a room that was near a large church bell tower. It is loud on Sunday mornings and will shake the room. The rooms were not too fancy but very clean. So if you go out to the nightclubs and want to sleep in on Sunday forget about it.

The hotel is located in the Gracia district, which is a safe residential area. The metro station is a few meters away, although I walked to the center of the city (it takes about 30 minutes to reach the Placa de Catalunya by foot). The room was clean and tidy. The staff were polite and helpful. Checking in and out was very easy. Will visit again once I'm in Barcelona.

Liked the hotel, just in the center of Barcelona, near to all transport routes. Missing only the refrigerator in the room. Good breakfast, enought variety and food. Some rooms could be considered small, but if you want to visit Barcelona it is a very good accomodation. Friendly and helpful saff.

I have stayed at this hotel for many years and have always enjoyed its basic but good facilities.

There was a problem with the air conditioning unit and we requested a change of room when technical staff failed to repair it. This was met with rudeness and sarcasm by a male member of staff who enjoyed showing off his italian to other customers. He seemed to confuse sarcasm with a good sense of humour. Two very different things and a serious lack of professionalism from his part. The other members of staff were far more helpful.

It is a shame that one member of staff can change ones overall view of a service. I will not stay at this hotel or recommend it.

Dear Sir,

First of all I want to apologize the rudeness and sarcasm that you felt because of one person from our staff. I promise you I will investigate exactly what's happened, and I will act in convenience.

As you can understand, to lose a client is a big problem for us, and we have to work to try that things like that never happens again.

Best Regards

Relatively good location as a start off point for exploring the city. Basically good hotel for sleeping and showering but very little else. Buffet breakfast included in the price but pretty run of the mill fare.
Room we stayed in was small and hot despite the a/c. Luckily it was a room at the back so we weren't subjected to any noise from the major road works at the front. Make sure you get a room at the back otherwise you won't be able to get much sleep!
The main problem I would like to mention isn't about the hotel itself but two rather disagreeable male receptionists on the front desk. One of them (the fluent Italian speaker) was especially rude, offensive and showed a distinct lack of professionalism. The other was simply an amateur. The management of the hotel should consider not allowing these two employees to deal with guests as because of them, we won't be returning or recommending the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back preferably high up. More light!

We've stayed at Via Augusta for a week before Christmas and can only say good things about this beautiful Hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms have a modern and functional look.
Another great surprise was the breakfast with a lot of hot and cold food to choose from and with different options everyday.
At 400 meters you can find the Fontana subway station. Parc Güell is at 15/20 minutes walk from the Hotel. Passing Avinguda Diagonal you can find Passeig de Grácia with all it's beautiful stores. Also don't miss Gaudí’s Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.
Be sure to stay at this Hotel if you visit Barcelona...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and were very happy with it. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel is situted very close to a metro station and is about 20-30 minutes walk from the old town (all down hill). Breakfast was simple, but adequate.

Room Tip: There are 2 rooms with a balcony - one of them is
