“Great hotel in a good location”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

This hotel is ideally located, but in a street where its quiet enough to get a decent nights sleep. Staff are very helpful, rooms good with a comfortable bed and air conditioning (stayed in deluxe room) and the roof terrace is brilliant for an evening drink, plus has a really good view of the city.

Room Tip: The entrance to the roof terrace is on the eighth floor so you are going to get a lot of foot traffi...

Stayed here for one night before a cruise. Hotel is located near La Rambles - easy to walk there, but far enough from the hustle and bustle. No executive lounge, but nice breakfast area for gold members. Staff very helpful in recommending how to get around. Clean hotel. Rooms a bit small, but not by European standards. Roof terrace with wonderful views.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for three nights in august and had a fantastic time. The room was clean, staff were very helpful and breakfast had plenty of variety. The hotel is located close to a shopping centre and the metro as well as a small food hall. The roof terrace and bar had fantastic views and was a great sun trap although you must get there early to get a bed. All in all I would recommend the hotel.

My husband and I were on a cruise of the Mediterranean when he became ill and had to be hospitalized in Barcelona. Because I don't know how long he will be treated I have had to extendmy stay each night. The staff has been extremely kind and helpful, the food is delicious, including buttery croissants with jam, sausage, eggs and fruit for breakfast with Expresso, Cappucino or specialty coffee is delicious and free, the rooms are spacious, well-appointed and immaculately kept. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel.

Overally, my stay was great but it was not due to the hotel staff. They were some what rude and uncaring about errors that they made. After asking for the hotel manager, he/she would not speak to me about the mistake and constant errors. They were delivering messages but never would speak to meet with personally.

This hotel is centrally located and location is excellent to all of Bareclona.

Stayed one night as it was close to the airport. Nice hotel with roof top bar and pool. We stayed on the 19th floor so had terrific views. The rooms were modern and comfortable. Metro and bus almost right outside the hotel door. There is a huge shopping complex Gran Via (spelling?) that has a grocery store attached, cinemas and several dining options that is minutes away. Way more comfortable than the hotels off La Ramblas but it depends on your travel agenda :-)

Room Tip: Get a room on one of the top floors on the left facing Tibidabo for great views of city.

This hotel is perfectly located for a visit to Barcelona. Just two blocks from the main shopping street (Gracia). Lots of other shops and restaurants nearby. Train station and metro stop nearby. Easy to get to everything you could possibly want to do. Rooms were neat and clean. Bathrooms have a design flaw which results in a puddle on the floor every time you use the shower.

The breakfast was my biggest complaint. We have Platinum status with Marriott and were given vouchers for the continental breakfast in the lobby bar. The food was not good, and it was replenished infrequently. The servers were friendly, but not attentive to the supply levels. For example, every time we were there the coffee carafe would be empty or egg chaffing dish would be empty (often both of these things would happen), but there didn't seem to be any urgency to replace them. You almost got the feeling they were just waiting for the breakfast time-frame to be over.

There is another breakfast option one floor up, but I heard another Platinum member at the front desk complaining about it. It sounded worse than the one in the lobby. Same complaint -- food not being replenished.
