We were looking for tapas on our first evening in Barcelona. Most places were empty because we were early, compared to the locals. La Galera was half full and the menu offered what we were looking for. Michelin stars it will not get, but it did exactly what it said on the tin... Tasty and decent tapas portions and Rioja that matched its price and slipped down a treat. The girl on front of house was pleasant, helpful and was working hard. At these prices and in these surroundings it was what we wanted and ticked all the boxes. I'd have no hesitation in calling in again.

My wife and I just landed and were looking for a bite to eat. We stumbled across this place and liked it so much we went back the next night. We felt it was genuine Tapas. The grilled Prawns were delicious served with garlic butter. I loved the Chorizo with hot sauce. And my wife loved the Goats Cheese Salad. The price was vere reasinable considering what you get and there were no hidden charges. The wine and Cava were a nice price and delicious. I recommend this to anyone that visits Barcelona.

We were there at lunch time. No one else at that time. Strange! Looked on the tapas selection which was quite poor, but the nice girl gave us a list to choose from and we decided to try.
We had 4 tapas plates - huge portions, freshly prepared and good tasting.
Glass of wine and mineral Water. All in all a very nice tapas lunch. While we were there more people came to eat as well.
Maybe not an old tapas bar, the decor more modern, but decent tapas in the touristique area of Barcelona.
Very reasobale pricing. Big portions - consider to ask for "media raciones"

Just happened across this place. It was exactly what we were looking for, a great place for having a drink and tapas. Great sherry, great beer and the food was exceptional. Will be visiting again tomorrow!

We arrived at a very busy evening but were welcomed enthusiastically. The tapas were fine. These are not locals, true, but the food is fine and the rates are quite low. They do their utmost to give every guest attention and their enthusiasm is endeering. I would go back anytime!
