I' m writing this as we sit overlooking Ramblas.

Great central location
Easy to get to everywhere from here
Please remember this is a city hotel and only 3 star

Rooms- acceptable
(In need of refurb, but get front facing on floors 8 & 9 awesome views)
Cleanliness-very average, maids struggling against long outdated decor
For adults visiting Barcelona only- business or pleasure
NOT A HOTEL FOR CHILDREN
Lots of traffic noise
Restaurant- used for an acceptable breakfast only
Facilities - unknown but good wifi
Staff really polite and very helpful

Overall a city hotel in need of major refurb. Could be an awesome place but lacks investment in pretty much all parts. Make do with the noise and the uncomfortable beds and choose a short stay only
But Barcelona will as always make it all worth while
Reception-acceptable

I found this hotel to be just right, especially considering the great price and fabulous location. The staff were very friendly and accomodating in all aspects. I walked into this hotel looking for a last minute 1-night stay after having checked prices at several others. The hotel was very quiet and quaint. Had a lovely little restaurant and bar area after the lobby. The lifts were quick and functioned perfectly. We were on 6th floor, the room smelled a tad musty upon first entering but was never noticed again when coming back from outings. The furniture and mattresses could definitely use an update. The bed was a bit uncomfortable but good enough for one night. Otherwise the room was clean and had a spectacular balcony view overlooking Las Ramblas. Free breakfast buffet was offered in the morning with a decent selection of things. I would definitely stay here again as it was not a bad experience by any means!

This hotel has an excellent, central location very close to metro stops, the port, restaurants and bars and a short walk from the beach. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, with a balcony and was clean and very comfortable and we couldn't have asked for more. For a short break this hotel is a great base to get around and would strongly recommend it!There is a lot of bustle on the street where the hotel is located but if you want to stay in this popular location then of course this is expected! Despite the busy location the room was still quiet and peaceful. Great hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony with a high floor so that you get the best view over the bustling street!

Hotel looks very uninviting from outside. Reception area is small and staff could be more presentable, plus bar was never open. But double room on 6th floor with balcony and view over La Rambla was good sized, clean and sufficiently well-equipped considering the price, Bathroom was also good-sized, slight disinfectant type smell, and could do with a little TLC, but again acceptable in this price range. Breakfast starting at 8 was not a problem as we were on a weekend trip, and offered a really wide choice of food - but if you are looking for a traditional full english you'll be disappointed unless you like runny eggs, underdone bacon and sausage whose origin you can only speculate on, ( there again, you go to foreign lands to try different experiences, don't you ) and the choice of ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurts, rolls, pastries. toast, cereals and fresh fruit was excellent.

As a base for a three day exploration of Barcelona, the hotel worked fine for us, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

My husband and I arrived extremely tired and jet lagged just wanting to drop into bed, The front desk was run by a shabby looking person. He told us we had a great room with a terrrace with a view, wow was he right, the view was amazing. The room did smell as well as the hallways. The bed and furniture were very cheap and worn. We were just staying for the one night so I took a sleeping pill and zonked out. The view and location truly are great but if you need a better quality room better pass on this one.

Good value for money, not luxurious but more than comfortable. Good choice for breakfast and clean and comfortable bedroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Location fantastic! Bar not open during our stay, but just step outside the front door to find a fantastic choice!

I stayed in this hotel for two nights prior to a cruise in October. I had read reviews about some of the rooms with no windows outside so requested a room with balcony and was allocated a balcony with no extra cost. Actually a terrace.
The room and bathroom were spotless. No sewage smell anywhere. The views from the balcony were amazing. I was on the 9th floor. Had a fridge.
The only negative was breakfast did not start until 8am and Las Ramblas before 8am was creepy. Even Mcdonalds did not open for coffee until 8am.
When leaving for the port easy to hail a taxi outside and only took a few minutes.
Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony
