Stayed here for two nights and loved both the accommodations and location. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the Gothic quarter or jumping on the Hop On/Hop Off bus. We appreciated the free internet which included access to the hotel's computer and printer. Lots of cafes and shops nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is just brilliant. We were able to navigate the streets after taking the shuttle from the airport which drops you at Plaza Catalunya, quite easily down Portal de L'Angel, with our luggage (on 4 wheels which is great!), and a buggy. We managed to find the hotel without asking for directions. There was sparkling wine and peanuts available for us upon check in. The afternoon tea/coffee and bread snacks, available daily, was a nice touch I thought.
However the room for some reason was just not all that comfortable and not very cosy. We found we did not want to be in the room very much at all. The air con was just too difficult to get just right no matter how we adjusted it. The bathroom shower was extremely noisy and the ventilation in the bathroom was very poor leaving it clammy and damp for quite some time after showering.
The staff were helpful enough, but could have been more eager perhaps? However, my experience of Barcelonians on the whole left me feeling that tourists were more of a nuisance, and more help and friendliness could have been offered. (This is a massive generalization of course!)
The room we had was fairly spacious even with the baby cot provided and there was not too much noise affecting our rooms (like others have reviewed). The breakfast was on promotion at half price( €8) for the buffet, which was pretty satisfactory and had a nice spread.
On the whole location was just tops- everything accessible in walking distance and this makes for a great stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: Second floor corner room we were in (208) which seemed to not have much noise and was adequately spa...

The best part about this hotel is the location. It was wonderful to explore medieval Barcelona right outside your door. The staff was helpful, the room clean and comfortable. Theplace has character too, not just another cookie-cutter room. Ours had original exposed rafters and a window that looked onto a little residential street. We also had an excellent breakfast there,at a good price.

Room Tip: If I get back, I would request a room on a higher floor, with a balcony if possible.

Stayed here for five nights. Brilliant location. You can walk to everywhere (we even walked to Guell Park from there) Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms spotless and beds comfy. Free internet ( and the only free internet on our travels too) Surprisingly quiet considering location. Would definately stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in May 2014. We arrived at hotel just before 12noon hoping to leave our bags and come back later to check in. However, our room was ready so we got straight in which was great! Reception staff were all really pleasant during our stay, as were the staff in the breakfast room. Reception/lobby area & dining area are small however really clean & have all you need. Good selection at breakfast - you should definately get enough to set you up for the day! Room was really clean, with good comfy bed & pillows. For us the location was perfect - close enough to all you would want to see however definately quieter than las Ramblas at night! Really easy 5/10 min walk to get to hotel, we googled walking directions from placa catalyuna as we got the bus from the airport. Would definately stay here again!

We stayed at the H10 Raco Del Pi for 8 nights between May 9, 2014 and May 17, 2014. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. At check in, we got a glass of Champagne. We also had the breakfast buffet 5 times. It is a really good selection. The shower pressure is by far the best we have ever experienced in Europe. You couldn't turn it on all the way since the pressure was like a fire hose. So taking a nice relaxing long shower was heavenly. We are already planning to go back again in 2015 and will definitely stay here again. The location is just a short walk around the corner to the Cathedral de Barcelona. La Ramblas is just a short 4 minute walk from the hotel. Excellent choices for dinner.

Room Tip: I would recommend the larger room. It comes with a double sink in the bathroom.

A truly nice hotel: not too big, in a perfect location, easy to reach. We came by the airport bus and reached the hotel on foot without any problems.
Now, I have mixed feelings about how to write the review because whether I evaluate the place as perfect or not even close to it depends on which part of our stay I will refer to.
The hotel offers two types of rooms: double rooms and small double rooms- we booked the standard double room. When we arrived in the hotel a nice gentleman at the reception checked us in and handed us the keys to our room which was on the second floor. We happily took the keys and went to our room- we couldn't be more disappointed when we entered it: the room was literally tiny (no place to move around whatsoever) and to make matters worse it was located just next to the hotels lift which is really noisy. Well, we thought, that may be the size of the standard room, just our luck that it is not in a quiet place. But when I looked through the hotel brochure I realised it is not the kind of room we had booked- it was the little not the standard one. We asked at the reception for a change but we heard that they are fully booked and there is nothing they can do. That was not the answer I expected and definitely not the one to accept (having booked the standard room).
We went exploring Barcelona (not to waste the day) and decided to think about it later on.
The next day (after a night which I think I spent in the lift) we complained once again and asked for a change. This time a really helpful and professional lady at the reception promised to see to the problem. And when we came back in the afternoon we discovered a different side of the place: a beautiful room with a really nice bathroom, on the quiet side- it was absolutely excellent. So from now on I could say the place is a perfect one to stay. I simply loved it.
And I have to add that they serve delicious breakfasts, lots to choose from, fresh fruit and vegetables, perfect scrambled eggs..:)
My rating will refer to second part of the stay:) We'll try to forget the unfortunate first impression.

Room Tip: Consider choosing the standard rooms, not the the small rooms- they are really small with a tiny bed...
