We traveled mid-February and stayed at this hotel for one night. It was in a great location, close to Las Ramblas, the Barcelona Cathedral and Placa de Catalunya. The lobby area looks very clean and the receptionist was very helpful. We arrived late night and he made it very easy for us to check-in. The negatives of this hotel were that we requested a queen bed due to couple but ended sleeping in two separate twin beds and secondly, there was no Wi-Fi access from the room. There was a fee to connect to Wi-Fi but were refunded as we were unable to connect due to connection issues.

Location wise this hotel is spot on, its in the middle of lots of bars, restaurants and great little places to explore.

The hotel is inexpensive to stay at and it shows in the rooms. They are very basic and best suited for just sleeping in. The hotel is like a labyrinth, so make sure you know how to find your room before having drinks!

The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms clean

We got a great deal on this hotel through otel.com - only £161 for 3 nights B&B total for the 2 of us. The hotel is in a great position right in the middle of the old town/gothic quarter and between 2 metro stations (Liceu and Jaume 1). To get to the hotel from the airport we bought a T10 ticket for €10.30 which gives you 10 journeys on Barcelona trains/metro and buses. It isn't person specific so a couple can use it at the same time. The train from the airport and the metro to the hotel count as 1 journey/use only as long as they are both done in 1.5 hours. The hotel bedroom tho' small had every thing you really needed and was clean and tidy. The breakfast was a bit mass-catered, but you can't complain when paying such a bargain price. There are loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Room Tip: A higher floor would be quieter, although we were on the second floor facing the alley not the main...

Good three star hotel in the centre. Rooms small but with large shower! Great value for money and would stay again. Friendly staff. Breakfast was a bit of a strange mix with sprouts and brocolli! Lots of bars and places to eat nearby

Stayed here for 2nd time in 2 years for a business conference. Got a room on the top floor that was a "loft style" room, where the bath was on lower level and the bedroom/desk was up on 2nd level accessed by a spiral staircase.

Word of warning: the spiral staircase was designed for thin people with good coordination/agility. If you are at all "full" sized, you will have great difficulty navigating the spiral staircase, if not impassable.

The room was impeccably clean as was the bath. Staff was professional and helpful.

The location is outstanding. Approximately 2 block walk to Las Ramblas and the Licieu Barcelona subway station.

Lots and lots of restaurants all around. Very safe area, even in middle of night.

good price for the location in Gothic quarter (old town) - just a couple minutes stroll from Las Ramblas and metro, couple more minutes to harbor, plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area. reception desk staff professional (though not particularly friendly) and helpful (would be good if they knew something about buses though). Big hotel with big breakfast room, good selection though not perfect. Room good size and clean - also bathroom.

Perfect position just off Las Ramblas. Ist room had the terrible smell of drains that others have reported, however hotel were happy to move us to a room that did'nt smell. (Why do'nt they sort the problem out?)
Breakfast was very forgetable but on the whole good value and ok

Room Tip: Ask for a change if you are not happy
