“Solid hotel, a bit different.”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

This is a solid hotel. It's a bit different in the sense that it's a little "artsy" (is that a word ?) and goes for a more cool, dare I say hipster ? :D , vibe.

The lobby is just a table for checking in, you can have free coffee and tee, take books off the shelves, messages on a big chalkboard etc. The building looks great too, not sure if real bricks , but looks like it.

Front desk was great, helpful and very friendly. Location is really good, with both metro and bus a corner away.

The rooms are good as well. Average size, all white, little messages on the wall, going for cool again. Beds are comfortable, big LCD Tv with a good selection. The shutter on the windows are great, some late, deep sleep because of it. A/C is a must in the summer and it works OK.

It could have been a little cleaner, noticed a spot or two during our stay on the linen, harder to reach spots in the bathroom, etc. Nothing dangerous though, overall clean.

Cleaning came every day even if we slept in and left later, they came in the afternoon.

They only serve breakfast which we didn't take, I though it's a little expensive. There are plenty of places very close by where you can have (probably) a better breakfast for half the price.

The hotel is also a little pricey for what it offers I think.

Overall, pleased though. Would I come back ?.....probably yes. !

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May 2014. The Hotel is great! Rooms are new, large and modern. Great bathroom. The staff is super attentive, especially Zola, who did our check-in and was very polite, helpful, professional and friendly, he was even able to speak our language (the Portuguese) which was great. We totally recommend the hotel to everyone!

Room Tip: Rooms are big and totally renewed!

Arrived to the hotel after missing our flight in the middle of the night. We booked a room for 2 nights. The hotel isn't located near any unique touristic locations and doesn't have any unique facilities (like swimming pool or gym). Indeed the price was pretty high (220 EUR for 2 nights). On the next day we found good flight tickets and asked to check out at 14:00 (instead of 12:00). They charged us only for a half of the second night.
The room includes WiFi but not a breakfast. You can prepare a coffee in the lobby (between 12 pm-7 am... I don't understand why not 24 hrs)

Booked this hotel for a week, location is actually pretty good, within walking distance of several parks and extremely near metro. But was disappointed by the lack of a "hotel" feel. There is just a table in front that says "Check-In Point" and I didn't get a feel that they genuinely enjoyed my stay or my business.

We booked this hotel directly by phone, and paid by internet in advance in order to have the benefit of a reduced price. The reservation was carried out in this way because of difficulty in communicating with the operator at the hotel reservation site handling their rooms.

The stay was flawless. Rooms large, double--paned windows kept out the boulevard noise (very proximate), room amenities, though spare, were top quality. Had we guessed this in advance, we would have extended our first-time Barcelona visit and would have left Tarragona to another weekend.

The hotel is functionally close to the US Consulate, as well as to museums, and to the Ramblas (3 subway stops).

We are hoping to find associated facilities in other cities in Spain, but in the meantime, though we are really driving distance from Barcelona, we may just make plans for a Guillermo Tell weekend before the tourists pour in.

Room Tip: Parking is a bit pricey at $24 per day.

I´ve booked accommodation on this hotel for a weekend and for travel to football match Barcelona - Real Madrid at the and of october, 2013. Booking has been confirmed and my credit cart was charged in advance. Upon arrival we are informed that hotel is fully booked and we were transferred to Hotel Catalonia Barcelona 505 ,hotel located with much bigger distance to public transport and worse ranged on Trip advisor only 180 places below, without any compensation.
