The apartment is very nice, and is exactly as described. The staff was available during the day, and we used their service to get to the airport our last day. Very satisfactory.

“Excellent location, well equipped”

We rented this apartment for our family of four (2 adults, and 2 adult children). The extra space in an apartment is ideal and much better than "family rooms" at hotels. Specific to this unit, we appreciated its proximity to the metro and the gorgeous view of La Sagrada Familia. These factors more than made up for the lack of elevator, which was really only a "problem" on arrival and departure, when we had to deal with our luggage.

We had a minor issue with hot water on arrival, which mysteriously cleared up on its own. But Arturo, the owner, took an extra step of having the system checked by a maintenance person the next day. This was much appreciated. Arturo was also great to deal with during booking and in advance of our visit. He provided detailed arrival procedures and recommended the best way to travel from the train station to our apartment.

“Excellent location and perfect view of la sagrada familia”

The pictures are accurate. Very close proximity to the metro and next to the church so lots of activity below our window. Judith is extremely helpful navigating us to various locations. The steps up to our apartment are tough after a long day of sightseeing but manageable. Street noise takes a little getting used to but we are in a big, busy city. Love the size of the apartment and it's amenities. Not sure I would book a hotel again. This has been a great experience so far.

“Excellent well-located apartment with an exceptional view”

The simply, but well-equipped apartment has everything you need (except perhaps a lift)and the view is amazing. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the location is excellent for sampling the sights of Barcelona, whether on foot or by public transport. We especially enjoyed the local market and the various ethnic shops in the neighbourhood - an Argentinian butcher in the same block is highly recommended, as is the Colombian bakery two blocks down on Carrer Aragon, which made me a lovely iced birthday cake. Our best meal out was at the Tapas Bar next door - which also belongs to the owners - exceptional food, very pleasant service and a bottle of cava on the house. We loved everything about this apartment and the set up. We'd also recommend the airport transfer - well worth the money.

Liked best: easy internet access - genuinely friendly staff - and of course the view.
Liked least: The stairs! Five flights of steps, so not for the aged or infirm.

Very clean and comfortable apartment. Judith and Arthur were so helpful in assisting in tour reservations and recommendations. I would highly recommend it anyone wanting apartment style accommodation in a quiet location with easy access to the metro and train. Fabulous place!

“Fine Apartment in a Great City”

What a great Barcelona welcome--a free bottle of champagne in Arturo's next door restaurant. Of course we ordered some tapas too (not free) on the evening of our arrival. If you do not speak Spanish, I'm not sure paying for the pickup at the airport is worth it because our driver did not speak English to point out Barcelona's landmarks. However, he was there waiting for us when we arrived and drove us directly to Gaudi's Nest. Arturo and the staff went the extra mile to help us with any concerns we had, ranging from helping us with a restaurant reservation to advice about using the metro (two lines are very close--taking Line 2 to Passe de Gracia which was less than a five-minute walk from La Rambla was what we used the most; buy the T10 ticket which can be used by multiple people).

My daughter and I stayed in the second floor (really fourth floor) two-bedroom, one-bath apartment. The view out the living room balcony window of Sagrada Familia was amazing. The weather in May was a little cold so we only ventured to the roof one evening, but the view there was even better. Although we didn't use the stove, we did appreciate having the refrigerator and used the washer/dryer several times. Our clothes seemed to take a long time to dry so we used a combination of the dryer and hanging clothes on the provided rack with clothes pens (this practice seems to be common in the area even though it seemed a little like desecrating the Sagrada Familia).

Even though I'm 64, I'm in generally good health and didn't have problems climbing the stairs. Someone with mobility issues should clarify this with Arturo and ask for a lower apartment.

“You will fall over from the view!”

An amazing rental in the heart of Barcelona, right across the park from the Sagrada. You can see the pictures and they are all true!

The owner, Artur, was very communicative (which works for me as I tend to plan and over communicate myself) and so we knew exactly where we were going and who we were talking to in order to get keys. The service was excellent from ownership. They even helped us get a shuttle van to the airport on our final morning and arranged for us to pass off keys to the driver.

We were meeting with friends and found the room amenities to be perfect. We prepped our own meals in the kitchen, were able to do laundry. Close to two metro lines, we were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted, down to Las Rambla and into the older part of the city. You do need to be cautious of pickpockets, and you will hear that everywhere, but this was the only city on our vacation where we saw some of the perpetrators being pursued by mobs!

But what made the entire stay was that one of our party had always wanted to see the Sagrada and when we came in the living room the look on her face made the entire week! You will want to stay here!
