We stayed at the apartment hotel athenea and stumbled onto La Bella Donna after being turned away by Fragments, which was where we went first. At Fragments we were turned away without a reservation on a Saturday night even at 8:30 and there were many empty tables. Anyway off we went and came upon La Bella Donna. We were greeted and seated right away. Very pleasant Server spoke some English and there was an English translated menu. Nice cadence to the service. Server was nearby and very responsive (esp compared to some BCN places where it's tough to get a servers attention just for a drink). Pizza was good (huge) salads excellent, pasta very good because there were so many choices. Portions very large; prices reasonable. Not the best Italian food we've ever had but everything we asked for was delivered very nicely. it's slim pickings for restaurants in this area, and this was better than we expected. An unexpectedly nice evening in an area with not a huge array of choices.
