Hotel Jardi is nestled in one short block off La Ramblas near the center of the Avenue. There is a small square that opens up and on the left is Hotel Jardi. Glass doors open as you approach, and in front of you a flight of marble stairs. Once you climb this you will find reception that is always open with a friendly face to greet you. From here you have an elevator to get you to your room. Remarkabley quiet area considering how close it is to La Ramblas. There are several Tapas near by and lots of great shopping. A short walk to Catalunya Square where you can get on one of the "hop on, hop off buses", if you prepurchase the packet from the hotel you will get a discount. A great way to get around to the Gaudi sites.

The staff is friendly and always willing to help you with any information you need. Next to reception is a breakfast room and a computer that you can use at no charge any time (day or night) with access to the internet.

The accomodations are just what you need, a clean, safe place to sleep and shower for your time in Barcelona! We stayed in an internal room, but they also have rooms overlooking the square!

Room Tip: Interior room is fine, but I did miss the ability to look out a window to check the weather, and to...

The location is perfect- we could get almost anywhere without using any metro or bus, plus the area surrounding is beautiful and variated.

The staff were amazing- everybody were so nice and welcoming, helped us with everything at any time. ( they gave us great recommendations, and even called the sites for us to ask for information).

The rooms are very small but very clean and the beds are comfortable.

There is a free computer with internet and Wi Fi. The hostal serves a nice breakfast but it was cheaper to have it in one of the many cafe's in the barrio gotic, right bellow the hostal.

VERY VERY VERY RECOMMENDED!

this hotel is in a great location within seconds walk of the rambles. its near a charming church and old square with lots of great restaurants and free entertainment. staff great and very helpful. the rooms are small but clean.there are stairs to negotiate before you get to the lift and there is no one to help you so be aware if you have heavy cases. breakfast is basic, but there are heaps of places to eat nearby. free use of computer. it is noisy until all hours but i loved being in the center of all the festivities and the shut windows are fairly sound proof. any inconvenience is worth the greart location. a great vintage clothes store across the square.

Room Tip: ground floor so you dont have to lug cases up the stairs. check size of bathroom.

Wonderful location in a charming quarter of the Barri Gotic (gothic quarter). The staff were very friendly & helpful & I had no trouble at all utilizing the free wi-fi. I did get a room facing the plaza and it was very noisy all hours of the night & early morning (drunkards stumbling home from the bars & clean-up crew afterwards) If you want quiet, it's best to get a room without a window or view. The rooms are very basic but quite comfortable. The bathrooms are quite spacious & clean as well. I would stay here again. It was a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Get a room that doesn't face the squares if you want a more quiet experience

This is a typical European hotel. It is well located - walk to the Rambles in minutes - and very clean. The rooms are tiny, so finding a place to open the luggage can be a challenge. There are stairs up to the first floor reception area, then a lift to the floors above - if it is working! The shower was the tiniest I've ever seen, but worked quite well.

It was a small room but the room was very clean. Centrally located, less than 5 minutes walk from La Ramblas, and walking distance to all the shopping spots. Can be 'noisy' but because it is located in the tourist spot. Then again, if you are lucky, you can hear street singers and violin players along the streets. I would recommend it if you are looking for a fuss free, central location, and clean room. Although the shower probably need a upgrade cos the water is flowing from both tap and shower head. And the wall is a little thin (we can hear some other guests talking late at night at the reception area), but overall, a good experience. Good spot!

Hotel El Jardi is a good located hotel near the rablas and Placa Real. There are several restaurants at walking distance. We had a 3 person room that was big enough but the bathroom was a bit small. To take a shower was a challenge without changing the water termperature evey 5 seconds. The room was clean but basic.
We did not take breakfast in the hotel since there are many opportunities in close to the hotel.
The first night I did not put my earplugs in and waked up because of the noise outside. Because of the high building there is an echo but with earplugs not an issue.
