My 3 teen/20-something children stayed here on a family vacation. They shared a room with 3 beds. Although it was not fancy, it was more than adequate, clean and in a nice location right on the Ramblas. The breakfast that was included was very good, and the staff were very hospitable. If you are looking for something a little more budget conscious, this was a good choice. Their room overlooked the Ramblas so it was fun to watch all the activity.

A group of 15 of us stayed at the Hotel Cuatro Naciones for two nights prior to a cruise. Great location, right in the middle of the action on La Rambla! The hotel is family run and you can feel the pride and hard work they have put into this hotel. The lobby and staircase is beautiful. The rooms are clean and efficient with a great use of space. The beds are a little hard but still comfortable for those who enjoy a stiffer mattress. Breakfast was included and a nice variety of foods and beverages. Overall a great value and an excellent stay!

We stayed for two nights prior to the cruise and one night after the cruise. I actually had another reservation at another hotel for after the cruise just in case we didn't like this hotel, but we decided Cuatro Naciones was great for the money so I canceled the other reservation. There were 4 ladies in my party and we were treated really well by the staff. We "borrowed" their adapters (as we forgot to bring ours) and they let us keep them for the cruise and just asked us to return them when we returned the next week. Upon our return from the cruise, they stored our bags until we could formally check in around 2pm and when we got back to the hotel to check in, we found our bags were already delivered to the room so we didn't have to haul them ourselves. The location of the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was free and plentiful. For a three star hotel, this was such a great price I would recommend this to anyone. The reason they didn't get a 10 on amenities from me was because the beds were pretty hard (if you're used to softer beds) and they probably could provide a box of facial tissues. Of course, there were toilet tissues, but I think facial tissues should be a basic amenity.

Good location. Right on La Rambla.
Very helpful and friendly staff.
Nice continental breakfast with a god selection to choose from.
Nice room with balcony overlooking la Rambla but can get noisy from bars at weekend.

We spent several days at HCN ahead of a Spanish cruise earlier this year. Choosing this hotel was one of the highlights of our cruise. First of all, the location is superb. You are right on Las Ramblas...step out the door and you are there. Perfect...and, if you have a room overlooking Las Ramblas, you get to learn, first hand, that it is true that Barcelonans are party animals who party to 4 am. The staff are very helpful (my wife left something in a cab and they were very helpful in helping us get it back) and told us about the excellent and very affordable La Fonda restaurant that is just a short walk away. A breakfast buffet is included with a room and it is OK. There is free internet (via a Hotel computer in a sitting room). Our room was very good given the cost. We would not hesitate for a second in re-booking this fine hotel.

Wonderful staff, location was perfect, best breakfast in several countries. Our room was huge and even had a tub! Ours was on the back side which meant we did not have a view. But it was very quiet and that's what we wanted. A real value in a big city.

The location of the hotel is brilliant, being right on the Ramblas close to metro and only a 5 minute walk from airport bus at Plaza Catalunya. We found plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars locally and the area felt safe at all times. The Plaza Real was very near with its great selection of eating and drinking places in a traffic-free zone. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast had a good variety of food, room was clean and comfortable. would recommend to others and will definitely return. A good reasonably priced and well located hotel.
