The biggest and best cooked sirloin steaks - one of the easiest things to get wrong - made the evening. We were mooching round the local area looking for a decent bar and stumbled across Can Manel. Didn't look much from the outside and its dark interior decor meant it didn't look a great deal better inside, but looks proved to be deceiving! We started with an aperitif of cava while ordering our house salads and steaks. The salads were fresh and plentiful but it was the steaks ... cooked rare to absolute perfection ... that were our talking point for the evening. Washed down with a very nice Vina Pomal Rioja crianza, the steaks were delicious and so huge they left no room for dessert.
