Obviously you won't die if stay one or two days, I did stay there for one night and it was ok. But for the price they ask, it is a bad option. Rooms are tiny and beds/matresses of the lowest quality.

The only positive aspect is the location, very central and close to the rambla. For the rest, look for some other modern hostel in the city.

Nice clean rooms, great facilities, friendly staff. Only issue was the wifi was weak in parts of the hostel so you have to go to the common room to get decent access. Also lots of stairs up to Hostel.

Very well located in a quiet pedestrianised area just off the Ramblas and handy for Plaza Catalyuna transport links.I was in single room 10 - facilities basic but OK. No sogn of heating or air conditioning in room.Wifi a little wobbly but Ok for browsing , e-mail and streaming - free. I was allowed to eat shop bought evening meal at breakfast table but no roof garden or patio. Lift but short walk up stairs required.A bit noisy at night.Staff friendly and helpful. Access to room by key not left at reception.

easy to find,,, one flight then a lift to main door, we had a balcony on the front of the building which was a bonus at night, to air the room there was no ac but a fan was fine,, also no mosquitoes ,,,great as were from malta..so we left doors open all the time, Now ,,, at night when you sleep the noise of a few people on the street below might keep u awakeup too around 2-3 am but don't worry shops open at 10.30 so u can lay in a bit,,its pretty quiet. We shared a bathroom this was a first for us but it was ok,, mostly students were there and they were hse trained.
Rooms are very basic, but clean and bedding, towels changed daily, run by indians who are quiet but friendly, we ate out for breakfast , they charge 5 euro's , just fancied there chocolate and cheros mmmmm,,, try it there s a little place, turn right out of front door, then first left or second left not sure now,, anyway walk down a narrow alley ,limited for shops but be patient on the right is this cafe with the most amazing croissonts, churro's and chocolate milks,,
Barca is a big city,, we used the underground, takes a bit of getting used too but quick and no traffic, t10 ticket always, ten return trips for 10 euro's in a massive zone one thats all u need.
We spent 6 nights in this amazing city, the food is all good we ate somewhere different every night, all great from piella to tapas, to wok to walk,
Dont expect much, from the hostel and you won't be dissapointed,, enjoy Catalonia,,we did.

PS, keep cash to a minimum , pik pockets, we were ok but witnessed a lady who said her bag went missing, so just keep an extra eye around you and limit your'e cash,, but then enjoy spending, wife went crazy ,,little designer shops near the hostal in the lanes.

Room Tip: balcony's a must in hotter months, but remember the noise will travel, sunday most shops are shu...

We stayed at Hostal Rembrandt in June 2012. It's a cute Hostal near a very fun area - Las Rambla. There are shops, bars and restaurants everywhere around and it's walking distance to most of the good sites in the city. Subway stations are nearby so venturing out is easy.

Our first night there was someone in the lobby who drank too much. Normally this causes a huge commotion but the manager (he lives on site) quickly resolved the situation. They are so courteous and nice. A potentially ruined night with one bag apple turned out to be a few minutes of annoyance. The manager was also super helpful figuring out where we should go and good places to eat.

For the money this place is perfect. We had a three person room with a nice shower and bathroom. It's not large but we had our own beds, a closet and a balcony. Place is clean too. They have an additional communal bathroom with shower. Free wifi too. We even made some friends with some of the other guests. If i come back to Barcelona I know where I'll stay.

I was nervous about choosing this hostal due to the reviews I had read, but it was a great experience. I'm a college student studying abroad and myself, my fiance, and 2 other friends went to Barcelona for the weekend. It could get loud at night, but we all had our iPODs to listen to and during the week there was construction, but we didn't spend a lot of time there anyways. It was located right off Las Ramblas and close to the metro and Catalunya. Our total was 360 euro (30 euro per person, per night) and it was great seeing as how we didn't book far in advance. Also, the man at the desk was very helpful in recommending places to eat and sight-see. I don't believe the breakfast is worth 5 euro because there are great places to get pastries for 1-3 euro in cafes down the street. Also, FREE WI-FI!

DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU SPEND ON IT. If you don't want to have a 'wrapped off' kind of feeling - do not consider it at all. STAFF equally contributing to this feeling - literally telling you as a welcome: 'If you don't like it - I will double the money with other tourist' (it was paid in advance via booking.com)

None of the pics does correspond the reality. Very basic, unpleasant place which with shared bathroom (not very clean) and no breakfast does not justify AT ALL 100Euro per night!
For 30 - it might be ok...

If you have respect for yourself and your money - just leave it! The best advice I can give.
Regards,
Agata, April 2012
