“L'Eixample District has many Modernista buildings”
Reviewed 7 July 2012

My wife and I strolled around the L'Eixample District a couple of days during our trip to Barcelona this past February. There are a number of upscale shops and restaurants and a bunch of modernista buildings within a few blocks in the district. We located a map that indicated the modernista buildings which was really helpful in finding several that we would not have known about otherwise.

Nice neighborhood with bars, restaurants and stores. Away from craziness of Ramblas.

“Give a break”
Reviewed 21 June 2012

We stayed 5 days in a rented apartment in the district and I liked the area mostly because it is not touristic, walking distance to many attractions and have nice buildings. If you have a few days only there are more interesting things to do but keep in mind that the rentals are affordable in the area
