Just returned from 4 nights stay at this hotel. Everything about the hotel was great. Ideal location only 5/10 minute stroll from Las Ramblas. Rooftop terrace with amazing views of the city. Friendly helpful staff. Alejandro provided us with a map and highlighted many areas of interest within the city. Rooms clean and modern with everything you could need. Wi-fi access available in all areas of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was constantly refreshed and meant no wasting time in the morning finding somewhere to eat. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Great value for money. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

We stayed here for four nights, the hotel is secure, very clean, and the shower was great, but as one of the previous reviewers has noted the air con is hard to adjust meaning that it is really too warm. The rooms are quite austere. The location is really convenient 5-10 mins walk from the bottom of the Ramblas, and near Port Vell, and is convenient for the Metro, but is in an "up and coming (eventually)" residential neighbourhood, think views of washing out of your windows... the price for the room is good, but you need to expect to pay for any extras. 2 euros for luggage storage, vending machines in the lobby for any coffee, water, etc. Breakfast is 12 euros and includes eggs, bacon, continental and cereals, but be early if you want rolls or pastries as they don't replenish when they have run out.

This place was a great find!! Make sure you go to the roof t check out the view! Pics do not do it justice. Its a must at thsi hotel. The rooms are very small, however they are clean and the hotel is in order. They have a welcoming staff and eager to help in whatevetr yu need. Christina a host there was giving us the scoop on where to go and what to see. We agreed with her. Las Ramblas is OK but you need to go outside it to really enjoy Barcelona. I would go back to this place in a heartbeat!! To get on the Metro and yuo only walk a few blocks away. Make sure you go to The Rabbit Hole nearby to enjoy a beverage there also. The people there were great and we frequesnted the place each night we were there!

Room Tip: WiFi is a little weak but overall its ok to use and you have to pay to use the computers. Doesnt mak...

Stayed here for 6 nights on business. Everything very clean and the rooms are well planned with great showers in the bathrooms. Although this is not actually on Las Ramblas it was only 3 mins walk off it at the bottom end (near the water)

I had a great stay here and the staff are very good, friendly and professional (especially Alejandro who always had a smile and patience when asking questions). Would definately stay here again when next in Barcelona.

The Andante isn't an expensive hotel, considering what you will pay elsewhere but I did find that for the price, it was a disappointment.

The staff at the check-in desk were OK, but slow. If you have anyone ahead of you in the queue, expect to wait a while.

Firstly, what I liked. The hotel is close to La Rambla, making it an easy walk to head off to some of the main tourist spots. Also, the hotel breakfast was surprisingly good, I did enjoy that.

On the negative side, the rooms are very basic... very. No character what-so-ever. I noticed on the first day that my room seemed dusty & with a dirty floor. The cleaning appeared to be somewhat sub-standard. Our hairdryer was broken (though was repaired quickly). A frustrating aspect was that the weather is lovely, cool & crisp at this time of year, yet the window would only open a couple of inches & the air conditioning wouldn't work properly. The room always maintained an artificially warm temperature which was a shame.

The worst part however was the shower. I'm not sure if its the same across other rooms, I was in a twin room which had a shower/bath. The floor was so slippery it was actually quite dangerous. As soon as water hits it, its a hazard but as soon as you use any shower products, LOOK OUT! It was like standing on an ice skating rink. I did wonder how many visitors have had falls in these showers. I would strongly recommend to hotel management that you put a shower mat in each room to alleviate this issue. It would't take much at all to have a serious fall.

The Andante is by no means the worst hotel I have stayed it but it is not a hotel I will stay at again. For similar money, there are other options around that I am quite certain I would prefer on future visits to Barcelona. I don't expect much in the way of amenities when staying at a 3 star hotel however the Andante has next to none, especially in-room amenities.

The concept of this hotel is that you pay less than in most central Barcelona hotels, so the quality of the hotel is high, but you will not get anything "extra" (like a minibar). The hotel is very clean. The staff in reception were very nice and helpful. you wil need to use the hotel key card to get into the hotel, which is good, as the hotel is located in the heart of Barcelona. It is very close to La rambla and the harbor. The breakfast was good and plentiful and the area very clean. Someone wrote here about using the key card when you use the elevator, which is true, but I just felt more safer, as you will need it to get to you room. It is not true as they wrote that you have to go to the lobby to get to to pool at the roof top, you can get to any floor, but you will need to have to use the card. The pool at the roof top is nice, yet small. The view from the roof is very cool, you will see all the main Barcelona attractions from the roof top. The hotel could supply the rooms with a couple more cups, they give you only 2 cups, which they do not wash after you use them and they do not give you new ones, unless you ask for them. Nice soft beds. We upgraded to a room with a balcony (we only had to pay 10 euros per day more). The balcony is very basic, with two sunbeds and a shower, yet very clean and ok. I would stay here again.

Excellent location minutes walk from La Rambla and Port Vell, two of my favourite places. Hotel was very modern and cleanliness was of a very high standard. Rooms were well appointed, white tiling and granite and glass shower room. Best part of the hotel was the fantastic rof top terrace and pool, although small, it was a big draw. Will be back

Room Tip: Open plan bathroom might not suit all
