On arrival I was impressed with the décor of the hotel and spacious room; also the staff member upon check in was great.

Unfortunately room 606 didn't live up to what I was hoping for:

Air conditioning did not work
Wifi did not work in room and generally was not strong and kept dropping out throughout the hotel
TV channels not all working
Shower flooded bathroom - water marks on floor to show this wasn't a one off

After complaining to the hotel at 9am on the first morning the maintenance man came up quickly to fix the air conditioning. I left for a day of exploring but when I returned the room was still hot even though the air conditioning was set to 10 degrees and high fan. Maintenance returned but seemed to think the system was fine, it clearly wasn't. I asked to speak to a Manager but was told there was none there. A big fan was then delivered to my room. I spoke to Secret Escapes who then spoke to the hotel and the Reservation Manager arrived and thankfully moved us to another room where the air conditioning was better, although not great.

All in all I was really disappointed as this hotel does have a lot going for it; the breakfast was great and the roof terrace bar was wonderful, location is also perfect. It does however seem there are maintenance issues and inconsistencies that need addressing.

At the beginning of June we stayed at H10 Montcada for three nights on a bed and breakfast booking. We found all the hotel staff very polite and helpful and our room was clean and light with all the usual facilities. The hotel is very central, making it very convenient for the Gothic Quarter and other sights. We were very impressed with the breakfasts as we thought it might be limited to Continental but English breakfasts were also on the menu along with cereals, breads, and fresh fruits. On the down side we would have preferred a kettle and instant tea/coffee instead of the espresso coffee machine in our room and it would be better if the rooftop garden also served coffee/tea in addition to the bar drinks. Would we stay again? Definitely.

Room Tip: Although we overlooked the main avenue the double glazing was very effective and we were not trouble...

Only stayed here for one night but it was truly lovely. We received a glass of champagne each on arrival, were given the option to upgrade to a room with a view for free, and the staff on the reception desk were really nice and friendly.
The room itself was very clean and had everything you needed inside, the hotel was situated close by to all the amazing shops, bars and restaurants, and when we asked at reception which way to walk for the palace, they gave us a little map and circled everything they thought we should see!
Overall a really great hotel and would definitely go again if I ever found myself back in Barcelona

Stayed here for 3 nights at the start of June - Thursday to the Sunday. Decided to get the aerobus to the hotel this time as its only 6 euros rather than 20 in a taxi and its just as fast, you do need to walk about 10 or 15 minutes to get to the hotel but who cares - youre on holiday!

When we arrived we got a free upgrade and glass of cava - and were put in the same room as last year but it had been freshly painted. We were really pleased as the room was huge and spacious. Waiters on the rooftop bar as nice as ever, strawberry daqueries and pina coladas are a must have :-). The view from the rooftop really is lovely. Rooms spic and span every day. Weather didnt dissapoint, area is within walking distance of everywhere and as this was our second time here we remembered where everything was - many hours spent at the beach. No complaints what so ever and we got to use the jacuzzi this year!

The only thing i would say is the rooftop was out of bounds on the saturday night as someone had booked it for a party - this was rather dissapointing as it was our last night here and we would have liked to have went later on in the night for a drink.

over all would highly reccomend this hotel - we will be back but not for a couple of years as we have been 2 years in a row now!

Room Tip: Get a corner room, visit the beach - wakamaka (i think its called) beside it is a great lively burge...

This is a very handy location for seeing most of the main sights in Barcelona, with good public transport links. The hotel is on a busy road so gets a bit noisy which wasn't helped by our window not shutting properly. There is a magnificent roof-top bar which unfortunately wasn't open to residents as it had been hired out for a private function. We thought the breakfast was free but it would have cost the two us 32 euros.
The rooms are comfortable but on the small side, the staff are exceptionally helpful, and helped us with a minor crisis when our luggage didn't arrive at the airport. Because of the location and the staff would definitely recommend this hotel, and will stay there again next time we are in Barcelona

We stay for only 1 night. Front desk staff was very courteous and greeted us with glass of cava. The hotel has one of the best locations in Barcelona. Located in the Gothic area were shops and restaurants are located a few steps away. Across from the metro (Jaume) which is very convenient to move around the city. Conveniently located within blocks from las Ramblas and Barceloneta. The room is comfortable with the necessary space needed. Big bathrooms, nice windows overlooking the cathedral and a nice roof top which you can appreciate Barcelona views. The breakfast is superb, everything taste good and a lot of options. I will definitely recommend H10 Montcada to everyone who like a taste of Barcelona.

Stayed here for 5 days in August. A superb hotel which has an excellent location. Superb rooms and facilities the hotel is very clean and modern close to lots of the main attractions and we even walked to the beach. Athough there is no pool the hot tub is a great addition and the terrace for drinks is superb. Will definitely consider this hotel if back in Barcelona
