“Stylish hotel”
Reviewed 20 January 2013

Stayed 3 nights. Booked an Executive room with Booking.com but they upgraded us to a suite. Very helpful Reception staff who spoke excellent english and were knowledgable about the city and the best bus/metro routes to take. Suite was spotless - 2 adjoining standard rooms on fourth floor. Very quiet and comfortable. TV has main English channels BBC/ITV. Room has fridge and kettle/cups etc...
Public area is comfortable and modern- nice bar, reasonable prices.English newspapers available
Breakfast room/restaurant is well decorated, spotlessly clean. Good variety of food hot and cold buffet service.
Only criticism were the over zealous staff in the restaurant who hover around and clear your plates away as soon as you have taken the last mouthful. Maybe it was just because the hotel was quiet and they were short of something to do!!
Excellent location opposite the park. Only 10 min stroll to the Ramblas through tiny streets in the old town. On the way to the Ramblas call in at Xocoa in Carrer del la Princesa just around the corner from hotel- small shop serving coffee, cakes and snacks. Best coffee we had on the trip
No.51 bus opposite the hotel goes to Sagrada Familia.
We bought a 2 days pass on the hop on hop off bus- well worth it. There are 2 companies we used the one with the large sun logo- they have 2 routes - orange and green which seem to cover more of the city than the other company.
Thoroughly recommend the hotel - would stay there again

I recently stayed at the new K+K Picasso Hotel in Barcelona and had a wonderful stay.

The location is great for sightseeing and lots of choices of wonderful restaurants and bars just steps from the hotel.

The room was very clean, modern, and quiet considering my room faced a busy street.

The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast was good and the little bar downstairs was perfect for a drink in the evening before heading out for dinner.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose the executive room which is larger than the standard one.

This newish hotel (opened summer 2012) is brilliantly located opposite the zoo, and a couple of minutes walk from Barcelona Franca station. Stylish place with a great breakfast included in our deal from booking.com. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Best of all, it's just round the corner from the pretty and atmospheric El Born quarter which is full of shops, restaurants and bars which aren't just for tourists. We ate at El Bestiari and it was fabulous. Also recommend the Gimlet cocktail bar for the best vodka martini in the world. Would stay again if we got the same good deal (rack rate seems very expensive).

I stayed in December for 3 nights. This hotel, part of an Austrian chain, was really pleasant. The location is excellent on the edge of el Born across from a park and close to some of the main sights. The hotel is new so things are in great shape.

The room was smaller but well decorated and the bed had a duvet, which I like. The breakfast that came with the room was fantastic and the service really top notch. Awesome value.

From the moment we walked, we loved everything.Staff was very friendly and professional.Room was big with the view on a park, bed comfortable, breakfast with so many choices. One day I loved apple pie,but the next day it wasn't there,so I asked if they have it,3 min.after manager bring it from the kitchen. The next day when he saw me,he ran to the kitchen to check if they have it and when I asked for the recipe he gave it to me and explain how to make it.Location was really good,we would walk everywhere. We would stay in this hotel again, because it was great experience.

I am in Madrid for the xmas holidays and decided to go to Barcelona on a whim. We stayed at the Picasso.

The hotel is in a great location (right next to the park and 5-10 min away from Barcelona's version of the "Arc de Triomohe"), is very clean and is not too expensive (got a great deal on expedia for a 2 night stay in a twin bed room). The view from the room is so worth it so make sure you go to the 5th floor. They also offer great customer service (answered my email within 3-4 hrs, kept the room for us until 1pm on check out day). Although the room is not big by North American standard, it is bigger than some rooms i have stayed in.

The only negative I found was the bathroom door. It was made out of frosted glass and left 1 inch, on either side, of "empty space" (you could see right in or out the bathroom from that empty space). It can thus get pretty embarassing when you are travelling with a friend whose bed is 1 feet from that door and "you have to go"....

I would still definitely go back though

We are in the middle of an 11 day stay at the K & K Picasso Hotel, and continue to be impressed. Location is great, one of the more safe areas. (some areas in the city can be spotty) you walk easily to Barrio Gotic, El Born, and just a few minutes to Las Ramblas. Cabs also arrive within moments of a call by the front desk. The hotel only opened 6 months ago, it's very clean and provides all the amenities you could ask. (Free Internet, robe, fully mini bar, nice bathroom) i enjoyed having a drink in the quaint courtyard in particular. above all, the staff has continued to impress me. My husband was sick last night, and I asked for a suggestion of a place I could find some soup. The front desk didn't blink and said they would take care of any soup I'd like. I said what i had in mind was a chicken brothy soup, with rice in it and bread on the side but that I'd let them know when I got back, and i thought they would let me know if they could even do it. I went out for my own dinner quickly. By the time I came back the exact order was already in the room and my husband was enjoying it, equally surprised by the service and delivery. And btw the soup was good! The breakfast happens to be good as well. They also agreed easily to my request over email for an early check in before we even got here. We were able to check right in after the long flight and a coffee to rest. To sum up, this is my second trip to Barcelona and I can't imagine staying anywhere else next time.

Room Tip: Rooms are fine and mostly quiet and had enough space, yet they got a bit warm at night.
