My husband and I stayed at this hotel for four nights and had a wonderful stay. As we were there on our honeymoon, we were greeted on arrival with champagne and also treated to a bottle of
champagne in our room. The service was fantastic and the hotel's general attention to detail was appreciated! Great location a and great view. We will definitely stay again!

This is a lovely hotel in a great location, near lots of restaurants and nightlife. We stayed here for a day a half and were very satisfied. The hotel rooftop is very nice with a great view. We had the Sangria which they give you huge glasses of - it was very tasty and refreshing! The room was somewhat smallish but totally sufficient for a short stay and had a small but lovely balcony with a nice view. The wifi worked well for the most part, the only thing I didn't like is that you have to keep logging in and putting in the code any time you leave the hotel and come back, if you stop using it for a while, etc. I also didn't like their automatic mini-bar fridge. They have the kind that charges automatically if you take anything out of the fridge. This was a little bit of a pain because there's no space to put any of your own soda or water or food in the fridge. Neither one of these things were deal breakers, just a couple small touches that would go a long way. On our second day, we wanted to book a tour of the Sagrada Familia and the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful (I want to say his name was Alex, I think?). He was able to show us on the internet all the different tour options and booked it for us. He also provided us with a map and gave us directions on how to take the train there and also how to get to Parc Guell. The hotel is also in a great location, being very close to the Gothic quarter and also Las Ramblas. We didn't really get a chance to explore the Ramblas but we loved all the little connecting alleyways of the Gothic quarter with all its little tucked away bars and restaurants. I was a little nervous of the alleys at first but seemed totally fine. Its like being in an medieval world. Definitely don't miss out on the Placa Reial - lots of restaurants with outdoor seating.

I wish we could have stayed in Barcelona longer. If we return, I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel in excellent location. We had a wonderful view of the port area. Great starting point for walks in the port area, Barri Gotic and Las Ramblas. Very friendly, helpful staff, especially at the terrific breakfasts. We looked forward to seeing Ivelca every morning--a nice way to start each day in the amazing city of Barcelona!

Our family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) stayed at the Hotel Duquesa de Cardona in their quad room for one night at the end of a cruise. The room was decent size with a king bed and two singles but so well laid out that it felt bigger than I think it actually was. The bathroom was quite large with a rain shower and a separate tub/shower unit. Very modern and well appointed with a balcony overlooking the street. Even though the unit is on the 2nd floor the windows are well sound proofed so no outside noise.

The rooftop pool is small but does the job and the patio area is very nice with lots of shaded areas for lounging or dining. Great view of the harbor. The hotel is well located and walkable to the beach (it's a bit of walk but definitely doable) and around the corner from the Gothic Quarter.

My only complaint is the air conditioning. It would not maintain the temperature and several times throughout the night I had to get up to turn it back on. I mentioned something at checkout and was asked if I called maintenance...at 2:00 am I did not call maintenance. Don't know what I was expecting from the front desk but at these rates ($500) I kind of expected a better response.

That issue aside, it is a very nice boutique hotel. Having traveled quite a bit with the kids it can be a challenge to find a quad room and this one was definitely one of the best. Overall, I would recommend.

Lovely hotel on a fantastic location, with very helpful staff. The rooftop bar and terrasse is very nice , especially in this time of the year, and has a wonderful view on the marina. Only the swimming pool was a bit disapointing, because it is very small . Overall we had a great stay in Barcelona, and we will book here again next time .

This was our first trip to Barcelona. The hotel is in a great location, close to Les Rambles and a ton of great, unique restaurants as well as sights to see. We had two adjoining rooms, one room faced the active street/port and the other faced the quiet courtyard. They were both surprisingly very quiet (the one facing the street had a small balcony that had two glass doors which were spaced about 12" apart which helped with noise control.) The staff were courteous and very helpful in arranging the many things we needed: recommendations to restaurants; information about how to get to Montjuic and around Barcelona; arranging a private service driver to pick us up from the airport when we arrived and a taxi to take us to the airport when we departed. The hotel beds were very comfortable, good showers/bathrooms, spacious for European standards.; the room facing the street/port was somewhat bigger than the one facing the courtyard. The pool on the terrace is a plunge pool and very small. My 9 year old enjoyed it nonetheless. The view from the terrace was awesome, especially at night. Enjoy it if you decide to book!!

Staff, accommodation and everything else are fine, but they have extremely loud chumba chumba music on the roof terrace - if you open the windows you'll go deaf in 20 minutes, but fortunately the airco works.
