Great position 5 minutes away from the ramblas and the "boqueria market". The rooms are good, ours had a great view on the Rambla del Raval, but could have used an extra chair. The bathroom is fine and clean, with a tub and even a bidé! The staff is very friendly too, and you can even get a massage in your room for an extra charge (that's decent) and its worth it. Only the wifi connection is a bit slow, but the hotel is very good overall.

Good hotel, great location, lovely price..
The hotel is located on the Raval, it is 10 minutes to Rambla street and has access to three different stations all on L3 (San Antony, Paral-le, Liceu).
The hotel is located in a relatively poor neighborhood, but offers great service and high level amenities.
While reaching the hotel from the Metro station you walk by minorities streets, full ofIndians, Pakistanis, Bangalis, Moroccans... So If you are a Muslim/vegetarian, you might like the neighborhood.
The room is not so fancy, but has almost everything you need. It even has a a trouser straightener, something I have never seen before.
The bathroom is really good, the TV is a bit small but at least has some English speaking channels.
It has a good view on the Raval, offers a vending machine, in room massage (which is very professional by the way)
The staff are very helpful and friendly, plus they speak very good English.

We found Abba Rambla Hotel very easy to find, the staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and felt new - The bathroom was superb. Only a short 5min walk from the Ramblas, so near the centre but also quiet. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Right in the centre of Barcelona; right in the centre of service and comfort.
The hotel is on the square "Rambla del Raval" and is maybe 500 meter from La Rabla and metro Liceux, maybe 1000 meter from the harbour and 2000 meter from Place de Catalunya. But (!) surprisingly, not the massive stream of tourism. The square is calm with palmtrees and a few restaurants... nice to hang out in the sun and relaxed, before you hit the massive streams of tourism.

What can I say? Super hotel, super location: simple yet modern hotel -- quiet rooms -- no noise from street/square -- free WiFi (a bit slow, but do-able for email, finding restaurants on the net, google-maps) -- premium high speed WiFi for 9 euro for 24 hours (I didn't check it) -- room and bathroom clean -- beds a bit hard -- airco -- small safe in the room for passport -- shower in the bath -- TV a bit noisy/spickeled but okey -- minibar in the room -- friendly helpfull personel (they can advice for good restaurants) -- good breakfast buffet (bread, toast, eggs, cheese, jams, fruit, yoghurt, coffee etc).

I would definately advice to friends and go again.

The location is really good, 5 min to la ramble. Few doggy lanes around, but seemed ok. Rooms small, but fine. Great service and very clean place. Would go back

Stayed here for 4 nights over a weekend. The hotel is just off Las Ramblas in a quieter bohemian part of town . The area has some really good Tapas bars cand cafes. We searched on trip advisor for places to eat and the best came out in this area!

The hotel itself is clean, adequate with extremely comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe space and a good powerful shower. The breakfast is very good quality with a selection of cooked and continental choices. There is also free wifi ( just ask for a code). I can't fault this hotel, the staff are really lovely. We paid approx £25 pp per night , I would say its very good value for money!!

With regards the local area, My opinion is that its quiet, i didn't find it intimidating or scary- there is a few prostitues but hey working girls are everywhere, i came across more on Las Ramblas!! Dont let this put you off and enjoy your stay!:)
