“Great hotel. Great location.”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

My family and I stayed at this hotel from August 19-23.
This is one of very few hotels that pictures don't do it any justice. This hotel is nicer and better looking then it shows when booking on line.
The front lobby, halls, stairways and rooms were very well kept and very clean. All staff were very helpfull, friendly and professional. The location is great about a 15 minute walk to Las Ramblas and 5 Minute walk to Diagnal Train station. A very safe and quiet street.
If traveling with kids the hotel also has a nice playground on the back side which kids always gather and play. Our son loved it!
I can't really say anything bad about this hotel. We had a great time.
Only down side that it does not have coffee machines in the room and if you wake up from jet leg at 5:00 am like I did, you are in trouble. Because the restaraunt downstairs is not open until 7:00 am.
Also beware of the 24 hour mini market down the road. It is owned by a Pakistani man who tries to rip off tourists.
If and when I visit Barcelona again I would defenly like to stay at this hotel again.

Hi, I was in Barcelona in Sept when the weather was nice and mild yet sunny. I would highly recommend the following hotel: Evenia Rossello

The service is great and the location is just right. I would recommend having breakfast at least here as you will not get the traditional breakfast being out and about.
You will be close to the supermarkets if you want anything in the middle of the night and to avoid ridiculous prices from local takeaways and shops. The only food available in Barcelona is either when you are out and about its pricey restaurants or donnar kebabs. Do not even expect the kebabs to be cheap either. Expect to pay £9 on average whereas you would pay £5 max in London for the same food. The Spanish diet is about Tapas so it’s not really that filling and equally not cheap when you have had few tapas you could be paying around £40.00 per head for food by the end of the day due to the small portions. I would strongly recommend that visitors to by from SUMA supermarkets rather than the privately owned as the prices can vary x 3. Stack up on water and soft drinks as you will be getting through a lot which will cost you a small fortune by the end of the day. For example I paid £1.80 for a bottle of water and that is a standard price for a small bottle apart from supermarkets.

Room Tip: Dont get a room facing the play area or fire exit.

So we stayed at this hotel last Monday to Friday and really enjoyed it. The positives outweighed the negatives (of which there were very little) by a long mile. The rooms were good overall, nice bathrooms and the TV and other tech facilities were fine. The bathroom was a good size with nice shower and bath. The only downside here was the bed, we had 3 people staying and that meant two standard singles and one pop up bed, which was really uncomfortable, it squeaked and did not have any extra bed topper, like the others did.
The breakfast option (cheaper if you book direct instead of via Expedia for example) was good, it had a variety of fruit, cereal, juice and so on. This was a good start to the day. A standard breakfast for this type of city hotel. The only downside here were the pigeons outside, it was like London, they were all over the place, around 20 were in the courtyard waiting for food or getting onto the tables and eating leftovers.
The other little downsides were the gym was tiny and only had a few running and cycling machines, no weights or anything. But this wasn't ok as we didn't actually use them.
Other good upsides were the staff, they weren't really smiley and happy, but they helped out when needed and were generally friendly and polite. The wifi was free and you just ask for a code at reception to give you 24 hours access. The location was good, not noisy at night and around a 15 minute slow walk to a small row of shops that include Zara and Muji, but an extra couple of minutes to the Passeig de Gràcia. Provenca station was a 5 minute walk away with access underground to Diagonal metro station.
Overall, I'd stay here again without any fuss.

Room Tip: Back for extra quietness, but front is fine and you'll still get a good nights sleep.

Stayed here for five nights in August with family. Rooms were large and clean with a good sized bathroom. Although not in the very centre of the city everything was within a 15-30minute walk. Staff were reasonably helpful and were more than happy to let us leave our luggage there on the last day as we had a late flight out. The air conditioner only works when the room card is inserted into the wall socket so keeping the room cool was a problem.
The over all experience was positive and we were pleased to see that the hotel was used by a variety of nationalities including spaniards. Lots of great restaurants in the neighbour hood with costs lower than in the centre of town and better quality food with a more authentic Catalonian taste and style.
If your willing to use the subway system or local buses to get around or to walk lots this is an ideal spot to stay in Barcelona.

Good sized room, very helpful front desk staff and dining room staff, free wifi, quiet street, what more do you need? It isn't right on Las Ramblas but is only a short walk away. Breakfast is good and plentiful, and there's a pleasant outdor area (pity about the smokers!) Extension to the checkout time was given on the final day and the place had a lift and nice ensuite. recommended.

Stayed for 4 nights in July 2013. Great location with many good bars/restaurants nearby. Very spacious clean room, hotel staff very helpful and a nice patio area outside for a late evening drink. Would recommend it.

We stayed here on a half board basis so we didn't have to wander around each night finding some place to eat and we are so glad we did! The meals were lovely, a choice each night of what to eat from a menu of 3 starters, mains and desserts, and you also get a bottle of house wine with your meal which was quite unexpected.

Hotel wise it is situated in a great place only 2 blocks away from la ramblas and the metro, we either walked to most places or just jumped in a taxi as with 4 of us it was just as cheap to do this as it was to get the metro and a lot easier!

Next door but one to the hotel was a great tapas bar where the beer and wine is a great price, we would have our meal at the hotel and then go to this bar and chill out outside watching people pass by.

The rooms were ok, nothing fancy but clean! The bathrooms were big with a great shower.

We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel and it cost us just over 30 euros, this was with 4 people and 4 hand luggage, the taxis charge now for the luggage!

We would recommend this hotel and would definitely return if we were ever to return to Barcelona
