“Nice place, great dining views and location”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

This is a very pleasant place, and conveniently located next to the train station. We arrived at about 2300 hours and the very professional staff was friendly and helpful. We had a delicious light dinner on the 23rd floor with stunning views. The hotel gives the impression of a very slightly run down, former higher-end hotel. Very roomy and comfortable rooms, but with minor unrepaired damage such a shower fixture that fell off from time to time. Everything worked, but could use some general maintenance. Overall a delightful experience.

Room Tip: Even the lowest floor rooms are fairly quiet.

I stayed twice at this hotel. It is conveniently located next to Placa Espanya and nearby a metro station from where you can go to the city center in 10 mins. The hotel has a nice view, especially from the restaurant at the last floor. This is a big hotel and we got the impression that the staff is not always eager to help. For example it made as a very bad impression when they offered us an upgrade to a better room for an extra amount and we finally found out that the rooms where 100% the same. The excuse at the reception was that the more expensive room had a newer mattress ?! Also while they knew that we were during our honeymoon they didn't offer at least a glass of wine.

Room Tip: If they offer an upgrade to a better room make sure that they actually give you a better room

Stayed here for a week. From outside its a bit bland and uninviting. However inside it's clean, well appointed and the room we had on the 14th floor was really spacious, if a little dated. Views though were terrific. The restaurant on the top floor is worth a visit. We thought the food was really good, great value and the view was terrific. We ate in the middle of a thunderstorm late at night and it made for spectacular entertainment! We didn't use the Spa but did go down there when we left to use their showers - it looks good and staff here, as they are throughout are really welcoming and helpful. We used the rooftop pool at the adjacent hotel for some time in the sun and again was good with staff really helpful. The hotel is up by Sants station so it's a little way out of the city centre but taxis are cheap and the metro from Sants tales you into Placa de Catalunya in about 10 minutes.

Room Tip: The view from our room on 14th floor was great so I'd recommend a room in at least the top half...

This hotel is really a 5 star experience all around in a 4 star hotel. Location is wonderful, right next to the main metro station. Cleanliness is superb and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast area has an excellent view of Barcelona, one that helps you plan your day, because you almost can see every part of the city and its attractions. Aim for the higher rooms for a better view.

My partner and I stayed here during a quick getaway for some sun and beach. This hotel looked a little old from the outside, but don't let that fool you. The interior is absolutely great and the restaurant boasts great views from its panoramic windows. It's also right across from the bus station making it a perfect spot if you're traveling to an outer airport. A great stay!

From the outside, this hotel seems a little bit run down however that all changes when you get inside. Firstly you feel instant relief at the amazing air conditioning in the lobby. The staff were friendly and helpful and despite us being early for check in had one room ready and the other was made ready asap. The rooms were fantastic - clean, spacious with great views of the city. The bath was big and both showers were powerful (and well needed after a day of walking around). The spa was a life saver on our last day (due to hangover) as despite checking out, we could relax (and sleep) whilst we waited for our time to head back to the airport. Travel was not an issue as the hotel is 2 minutes from the central station. We love Barcelona and travel there often, so far this was our favourite hotel experience.

Room Tip: The higher up you go, the better the views.

RIght across from the metro so made it very easy to get around and explore. If I was going to spend a bunch of time at the beach I would choose a different hotel. Easy to get to Plaza de Catalunya where all the shops and people seemed to gather. Easy to get to all the attractions we wanted to see. Gorgeous view from our 26 floor room. Huge bathroom with separate shower, tub, 2 pc privacy toilet and double sink. I think it was great value for the price we payed
