We stayed for one night in Barcelona enroute to a wedding further south. The hotel was easy to find and a great location for walking out to explore the city. Our room on 2nd floor was clean, very comfy bed and quiet. I had read that anything lower than 7th floor was noisy so a nice surprise. We had a drink on the 8th floor by the pool which was a pleasant experience after a long, hot day sightseeing.
However, we were disappointed by the reception on arrival. The receptionist was very unhelpful and just laughed and shrugged her shoulders when we said were trying to get a train the next day and had discovered there was a train strike. She did not offer to help or give any advice other than say there were lots of buses.
We did not stop for breakfast so my only comment is that 15 euros seems a bit expensive.
