We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, Sept 12-15. The hotel is modern and the rooms are very clean. There was absolutely no problem connecting to the free Wifi. The beds are too firm for my liking. The room was perfect for two people, add another person and you will be pushing it. I suggest a room on the higher floors. Its located on a busy street and there can be a lot of noise. The location is ideal; walking distance to Plaza de Espana, to the subway and local restaurants.

The customer service was good. I could appreciate a better breakfast menu, the only thing hot for breakfast was the coffee and the toast (after you toasted it).

I would stay here again but without including breakfast.

Room Tip: Definitely choose a higher floor for less street noise.

Ok weve stayed here numerous times so its no surprise im giving a good review but i have to say this time was exceptional... location and all the other stuff ive reviewed before so this one is about staff and how good they are...

We booked to be here from 23 - 28 August and then back here 31 aug - 2 sep.

We got married on 29th in Sitges and hired a villa for 3 days...before and after our wedding we needed to be in Barcelona to meet guests etc etc...
Around 4 months in advance we contacted the Hotel and Vanessa the reservations manager was Fantastic... we had 7 rooms before the wedding and 9 after the wedding all in different names, all paying themselves on arrival.....

Vannessa and the team at HCC Lugano and the Manager there were fantastic... everything was ready for us when we arrived, the paperwork, card keys, and internet access alll done and printed all they needed was passport and signatures, they never questioned anything they gave us a lower room rate with breakfast as it was a group booking and generally looked after us like we were VIP,s.

They alsways helped with any questions, Vanessa even suggested to me and my WIfe to go to Monserratt a small village an hour away, which we did and it was such an amazing beautiful place...
the staff here are very helpful, very good in English and always suggesting places to go and visit (this is not a sales thing as they dont sell tickets to these places) they genuinely care for the customers...
Fantastic Fantastic place, friendly great staff from the security guard at night to the manager, but a special thanks to Vanessa for all she did to make the time before and after our wedding as comfortable as possible...

My husband and I stayed at the HCC Lugano in June 2013. This hotel is centrally located near two metro stations, so it was easy to get around Barcelona. You can reach many attractions by foot, but it is far enough from the action, which is good if you want some peace and quiet at night. There are still a lot of restaurants around if you prefer to eat near the hotel.

The room was well-appointed and spacious enough.

The staff is amazing! They really care about you and they make sure you have everything you need. They speak really good English and some of them even speak French (we speak French, so it felt good to know some people were spoking French too in case of an emergency).

Enjoy your trip to Barcelona! This city is fabulous, and the locals are really friendly.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less noise from the street and better views.

We stayed here for 5 nights in August. Just a 5min walk to the Poble Sec metro station which was able to connect us to anywhere we needed to go. The hotel was very modern and clean with a strong wifi connection (this is something we struggled to find with many of the hotels we stayed at on our 4 weeks trip to Europe). The staff were all extremely helpful again this was the best customer service we received on our entire trip. Definitely good value for money. Also when we arrived at the hotel we settled the bill and the following the day the staff recognised us when we returned from our day out and they told us they accidentally overcharged us and refunded the money. I was very impressed with this as they were very apologetic and I would expect most places would just wait for you to work it out yourself.

Modern spacious room with safe, frig & WIFI  but no microwave or coffee maker & no facial tissue. Laminate flooring is a nice touch.
Centrally located with easy access to the Metro subway.  Convenient to Catalunya, Gothic Cathedral La Seu,  Gaudi's Sagrada Familia cathedral,  La Rambla, Arenas de Barcelona, (shopping mall converted from the bullring Arenas), Cortes Inglais dept. store.  Don't miss Park Guell to see more of Gaudi's modern but gawdy designs. It's a bit of a walk from Lesseps Metro station so wear comfortable shoes. Strangely, signage is lacking - go to right when exit Station.  Look for T road to left which goes uphill & at far end, there's an escalator.

hotel is really easy to get to - get the bus from El Prat get off at Pl Espanya and its a short walk to Hotel on Avenida Para Lel.
I was upgraded to double room on arrival and the room had twin beds TV wi fi and a great modern bathroom.staff are really friendly and helpful - breakfast is expensive though but there are cafes nearby where you can get croissant and coffee for 2 euro.
Its a short walk to the amazing fountains at Pl Espanya there are bus stops for city tours , underground so no problems getting around.

We stayed here for 6 nights in July. Rooms are spacious, unusual for a city hotel. Very clean, huge comfy beds and bathroom was well equipped with good shower pressure. We stayed in room 305, facing the front, but with virtually no street noise at all. An occasional rumble from the underground, but nothing to keep you awake at night. We were asked if we wanted to move to a quiet room but felt there was no need. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We were given maps and information about where to visit and locations. Marcel on reception deserves a special mention, however, all the staff were very good. We were surprised by a bottle of cava in the room to celebrate my birthday. Lovely touch. Breakfast was excellent, just what is needed. A good selection of cereals, fruit, hams, cheese, bread, pastries, etc, also if you want there was a cooked selection you just had to ask for. We caught the Aerobus from the airport to Placa de Espanya for 10.20 euros return each. This stop is a 600m flat walk away from the hotel. Make sure to check the terminal you are flying out of on the way back as there are two separate buses - A1 for Terminal 1 or A2 for Terminal 2. As we rarely use public transport, the hotel was in a good location to walk everywhere. Only downside we found, although you could get room service, there was no restaurant for dining in the evening, although to be fair, there are lots of little places in the area serving good food. Turn left from the hotel and walk down to the Basilica, or turn right for Frankfurt and also up to the Bull Ring, lovely restaurants on the top floor. All in all, a hotel I would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Room 305 was quiet, end of the corridor and away from the lifts. No traffic noise but quite noisy i...
