Owner description: Uncovering the Past, Present and Future of the Cannabis PlantThe Hemp Museum Gallery is located in the centre of Barcelona in the Palau Mornau, a stunning edifice built in the 15th century, which was remodeled by modernist architect Raspall in 1908. It offers a unique permanent exhibition, on the development of the cannabis plant as a versatile source for industrial, nutritional, medicinal, sacramental and recreational purposes. The collection consists of rare items that founder Ben Dronkers, over the past forty years, collected throughout the world. The museum focuses on modern citizens, who despite repressive government measures, are not deterred, to gain knowledge about this particular plant independently.

“Suprised positively”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

We were having tapas across the street (good places there!) and decided to visit Hemp museum. I'm glad we did! Yes, it's small but at the same time wery thorough and informative museum. Especially liked the artwork and pipes from different cultures. Worth a visit.

“Interesting, and only 5 euros for students!”
Reviewed 2 August 2013

Interesting exhibit in a beautiful building!

Great entry price - only 5 euros for students (I think it is normally 10). Free information booklet and lovely staff.

Quite small - unlikely to take over an hour.

“An interesting way to spend an hour”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Great collection of memorabilia in a beautiful building. The staff were really friendly and helpfully pointed out the smoking balcony (although sadly we couldn't use it due to lack of supplies). An obvious choice for users of hemp, but also very informative - there is a huge range of objects made out of hemp, including the body of a car!
