Booked this hostel mainly because of the great reviews and cheap price but was slightly concerned it might be a bit out of the way or difficult to get to - I didn't need to worry, everything about this hostel was superb! It's located a couple of minutes walk from the metro, about 10 mins walk to Sagrada Familia and about 30-40 mins walk to La Rambla; if you don't fancy walking, you can buy 10 metro trips for 10 Euros, which is a great value option. All the staff are super-friendly and the hostel is clean and well furnished. The balcony doors cut out all the street noise and there's no problem with it being too loud. So glad we chose to stay here rather than paying almost double to stay in a hotel elsewhere; one of the best hostels I've stayed in!

The location is great cross the street to the metro, 10 min walk to the shopping street, downstairs a restaurant is open till 1 am and a 24h mini market. The staff are the best i ever seen better even than the 5 star hotels. If you need anything the staff will give it to you and do their best. the rooms are good and clean. The bathrooms too. The atmosphere is very friendly makes you to be very social. The price is worth it. if i would go back to Barcelona i would definitely stay there. its good for young backpackers and families as i said the best place to stay in Barcelona

Me and my boyfriend have stayed in this hostel in the middle of August and we both enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect, just 10 minutes walking from Sagrada Familia. Primavera looks like one huge apartment - it makes the atmosphere very cozy and home-like. We appreciated the cleanliness of the whole place and particularly enjoyed the spacious common room and the fact that there were two computers for anybody's use because we didn't take our laptops. The staff is very attentive, friendly and ready to help you anytime you need. Downstairs there is a cafeteria where we had some nice morning coffee few times. If we come to Barcelona again, we will totally stay in Primavera Hostel again!:) 100% recommended!

Myself and 3 friends recently spent 7 nights in Barcelona and stayed here at Primavera Hostel. We had our own room but you can also book beds in the dorm rooms and there are triple and double rooms too. The staff are young, helpful and friendly; they gave us tips on how to spend our days, where to eat in the evenings, which beaches to go to and great advice on where and when is good to go for the night life. On one evening we all went out together to a variety of bars and on to a club - it was good fun heading out with people who knew the area and there was no worry about whether where we were going was going to be any good!! The hostel itself was lovely, one of the nicest I've stayed in, clean bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen, cosy living area, towels/linen included and free wifi. It was also in a great location - about 2 blocks from the Metro, about a 10 minute walk from the Sagrada Familia and 20 minute walk from Las Ramblas. If you are coming to Barcelona, no matter what age you are and whether you are travelling alone or as a group, you have to stay at Primavera and from only £17 a night you can't lose!!

Room Tip: The 8 bed dorm is on through the 6 bed dorm (they are connected). So if you would prefer not to be d...

Positive aspects 1. It is located in a not so touristy area, so one has a chance to experience Barcelona in a more authentic way. 2. Just a short walk away from the major works of Gaudi 3. It offers privacy when you are traveling as a couple, but there are also many opportunities to share a conversation and potentially make new friends with the other travelers. 4. Friendly staff that give the best recommendations regrading restaurants and cafes to visit 5. A 30 to 40 minute walk to the center depending on how many stops you make for window shopping on the chic Passeig de Gracia 6.Amazingly decorated room that made us feel like we have our own little place in Barcelona.

Negative aspects: 1.This wasn't an issues for me, however some people may find it to noisy because most of the rooms face a busy street. 2. No closet space in the private room. Just two night stands and a place to hang your jackets and coats.

Tips: 1. Before arriving familiarize yourself well with its location and how to get there. Just asking for directions to the Primavera Hostel will not help you because it is not that well known...yet. 2. Book well in advance

Bonus: Every morning we would wake up to the sound of a beautiful piano played by the musician neighbor one the floor above.

I stayed at this hostel for four nights together with my two friends. We had a great stay!
The hostel is easy to find altough google maps gives you a wrong adress. It's in a quiet area but there is quite a lot of noice from the road/intersection at the front of the building during rush hour. But sleeping with earplugs solves this problem.

The people running the hostel are really nice. We had a warm welcome and they explained all the big touristic things to us and everything else we wanted to know or see. Everyday they are in for a chat and curious about what you did that day.

The rooms are really authentic, which is nice. The beds are quite comfy and there is a nice little balcony. The room is also really clean, as well as the bathrooms and kitchen. The general areas have everything you need, nice couches, laptops, a goog kitchen and a fridge for your food or drinks.

All together I think it is a wonderfull hostel with a lot of personal attention for every detail from the great staff!
